I got an idea, sandwich a kids playground between two roaring freeways. But you know what, seeing as this park is more like between the beaten path as opposed to off it, it's not in bad shape. On a steamy hot Sunday afternoon in August it was relatively empty. The outdoor chess tables are in good shape. The playground equipment isn't too abused and there are two water sprinklers in good working condition. A dude was working his abs over on the gym equipment thingy and the toddler swings were empty -- my one year old had free reign. More than I can say about far more popular parks in Astoria. Read moreAmazing place to go out with ur bros, awesome turf field isnt fully glued on yet so the grass affects the ball mobility all except that is one of the best fields, there might be a few drunkies about to get tipsy or smokers but they wont do anything to you. (Entrance 1: go all the way to tge right side of the field and the gate will have an hole which to need to climb inside of. Entrance 2: Go all the way to the opposite side of the field gate which is the park then go to the handball courts and h will see that one of the frnces in the corner had been cut open, you can enter through that.
