Jax Inn Diner — Restaurant in New York

I SLIPPED GOING BACK TO MY BOOTH ON A WET FLOOR.. COMPLETELY MORTIFIED FLAT ON MY WHOLE BACK AND HURT MY ELBOW NEXT DAY HAVE BACK AND NECK PAIN.. WENT BACK TO MY BOOTH AND I WOULD HAVE ASSUMED THE MANAGER WOULD COME TO SEE IF I WAS OK.. HE DIDNT SO I ASKED THE WAITRESS TO ASK HIM TO COME TO MY TABLE.. MY ELBOW HURT.. NOT THAT I EXPECTED ANYTHING BUT I THOUGHT THE MANAGER SHOULD HAVE COME TO CHECK IF I WAS OK.. LIKE 20 MIN PASS AND NO MANAGER SO I GET UP AND ASK SOMEONE WHO THE MANAGER IS. THEY POINT HIM OUT SO I ASK IF I CAN SPEAK TO HIM.. I TELL HIM I FELL AND I HAD ASKED FOR HUM TO COME TO MY TABLE. HE SAYS HE DIDNT KNOW. NO ONE TOLD HIM BUT WITH AN ATTITUDE.. SO IM LIKE THE WAITRESS DIDNT TELL U? HES LIKE NO.. SO HE STOPS HER AND ASKS AND SHE SAYS OH U WERE BUSY IN UR OFFICE. SO HES LIKE SEEE.. THAT GOT ME SOOO UPSET. SO IM LIKE WELL U KNOW NOW... HE DIDNT EVEN ASK HOW I WAS. AND THEY HAD ALREADY PUT THE CARPET BACK WHERE I SLIPPED.. I APPARENTLY WAS RAISI G MY VOICE. MY FRIEND CAME AND BROUGHT ME BACK TO THE TABLE.. I WAS SOOOO MAD.. AND HE STILLL DIDNT COME TO MY TABLE TO ASK IF I NEEDED ANYTHING.. BUT THE WAITRESS CAME WITH A SLICE OF CAKE FROM THE MANAGER.. REALLLY?? THAT GOT ME EVEN MORE MAD.. I DECLINED.. LIKE ASK ME IF I WANT DESSERT AND IF SO WHAT KIND.. MAYBE IM ALLERGIC MAYBE I PREFER ANOTHER TYPE OF CAKE.. WHICH I DIDNT.. I DIDNT WANT CAKE OR DESSERT .. JUST WANTED HIM TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I FELL AND JUST BE NICE TO ASK ME IF I WAS OK.. WE ASKED FOR THE CHECK AND THEY SAID IT HAD BEEN TAKEN CARE OF.. THATS NOT WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR BC I COULD HAVE PAID FOR THE 2 BURGERS THAT WE ORDERED.. AND MY FRIEND WOULD HAVE PAID ANYWAY SO IT WAS MOST LIKELY GOING TO BE FREE FOR ME ANYWAY. THATS NOT WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR.. EITHERWAY.. MANAGER IS NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALLLL.. IVE BEEN THERE LATE MANY TIMES AND NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH FOOD OR SERVICE BUT IM GOING TO HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FROM NOW ON BC IM DEFINITELY NOT GIVING THAT BUSINESS ANY...

An intoxicated man was sitting on the steps. He was asking for money when we were leaving. My husband gave him some money and the man jumped up and said it wasn’t enough. He put his hand in his pocket and went to attack my husband. I was with my elderly mother and my granddaughter in my arms. He also started screaming at my elderly mom. I ran back in and asked to call the police for help. A server by the name of Cristina came outside with some other employees and told me this is not her problem. The man ran off across the street still yelling at people and harassing them. She laughed at me and said I was making it up. She went inside and I as well to ask the manager to call the police. She kept telling the others that I was making it up. I told her that she was rude and we were asking for help. We needed help. She answered that she didn’t need to give us help. That it’s not their responsibility. I said the man was sitting on the diners steps and even if he wasn’t, we needed basic human help of someone who could have possibly hurt my someone. I don’t know what was in his pocket that he was reaching for and I don’t want to assume but he did try to jump on my husband for money. All I asked from the manager was to call the police. Cristina kept mocking me and I really don’t know why. I have been coming to this diner for 30 years. Sometimes twice a day. The owner/managers know who we are. It’s a shame that some people don’t have no heart or soul. It’s upsetting that Cristina was acting unsafe, not wanted to protect a customer or even just a person who needed help. She’s just a terrible. The other servers and manager said that they would speak to her because how she was acting and what she was saying to us was...

I tried several places near the LaGuardia airport.

I saw Jax Inn Diner that is open 24/7 was packed and drove around for 20 mins looking for parking.

Once I located a place to park. I walked two blocks, and the place was packed!

Here are my observations:

The place was very busy, and it was apparent that there were several factors.

The image is of the restaurant ambassador who steers the team to excellence! He was very nice and had the service core-values.

I decided to sit at the corner, and I could not believe my eyes! Plates and plates of succulent food, leaving a very obvious bouquet, or better yet, fragrance! YUMMY!!

I wanted an omelette, then I saw potatoes, then I saw pancakes and I realized I needed to look at the menu. lol

The menu was full color, and I only wanted to know one thing: was the coffee good???

The coffee was amazing, for a restaurant

Sadly, I had eaten at, the Buccaneer Diner, which was a recommendation from the hotel.

The pancakes were fluffy, and the turkey sausages were amazing.

They had homemade butter and maple syrup. The homemade potatoes, and eggs were great!!!

It was a delightful breakfast.

If you were staying at the Doubletree and or the Hampton Inn or a nearby hotel near the airport, be sure to make a beeline to Jax Inn dinner, you’ll thank me for my heartfelt...
