Van Cortlandt Park-242 St — Attraction in New York

I am not sure why people have been complaining about this train, have not had a bad experience yet, (knock on wood). The last stop of the 1 train is near the board between Bronx and Westchester County and the first stop is South Ferry but they are still in construction due damage sustained during Hurricane Sandy.

I really like this station . It's above ground so you can see the type of neighborhood that you're entering (You can't do this with underground stations) . It's near a lot of stores and, is right beside Van Cortlandt Park . Alot of buses stop here including buses that go into Westchester county (Bee Line Bus) . People also seem pretty friendly here . I also like how they have foot bridges here so you can go safely to and from the park without having to cross busy streets . Yes, this is definitely a...

Is a pretty nice station, all things considered. Staff were working hard to keep the platform clean, there's almost always a 1 train there so waiting isn't that long, and it is a neat sight to be able to look out at the expanse of Broadway in both directions. Along with neat views of Van Cortlandt Park and Manhattan University, this is, again, a nice station. One thing this station absolutely does need, however, is an elevator, and luckily, it seems there are plans to have that...
