I am not sure why people have been complaining about this train, have not had a bad experience yet, (knock on wood). The last stop of the 1 train is near the board between Bronx and Westchester County and the first stop is South Ferry but they are still in construction due damage sustained during Hurricane Sandy.

   Read moreI really like this station . It's above ground so you can see the type of neighborhood that you're entering (You can't do this with underground stations) . It's near a lot of stores and, is right beside Van Cortlandt Park . Alot of buses stop here including buses that go into Westchester county (Bee Line Bus) . People also seem pretty friendly here . Staff were working hard to keep the platform clean, there's almost always a 1 train there so waiting isn't that long, and it is a neat sight to be able to look out at the expanse of Broadway in both directions. Along with neat views of Van Cortlandt Park and Manhattan University, this is, again, a nice station.
