Michaels — Local services in New York

I been getting tools and materials from this store little by little one project at the time, and each project I had fun doing it. From baking, jewelry, school related, kitting and a couple jar’s.

The basic tools to decorate cakes or cheesecake and decorating with piping bags and different tips to make it look however you want. Like if you want to make a white buttercream rosette they have a tool like a nail with a huge head ( T ) or chocolate to melt and the silicone molded tray. Best part you eat the project.

You can do different styles with the jewelry section make necklace, bracelet or earrings. Most of the tools are there, little stands for everything that you are creating (missing that one).

They have yarn for knitting this hobby is the one that requires a lot of patience, time and dedication. But you end up with a pice that you made and that’s a really nice feeling. If you get the big loom( green) it’s going to take time.

The jar’s are ok, they don’t sell in the store separate lids or different kinds. But you get them somewhere else. I us them to store infusion (hibiscus with a kick of grappa) or when Im making wine, I make a small batches so more often I end up with a odd amount at the end.

Don't bother ordering online, it's a SCAM. Placed an order for in-store pick up at this location. I waited a couple days and kept checking the website, but received no updates about picking up. Finally chatted with a representative and found out that my order was cancelled? I received no email or text or any communication about my order being cancelled. Apparently, the items were unavailable but I can still see one of the items is available at this store on the Michael's website. They said it can take up to a week for the website availability to update, which is unbelievable. I bought these items for an event, and since Michael's didn't even bother to inform me that my order would be cancelled, I couldn't bring the items to my event. Now they say my money will be refunded in 5-7 business days.

Never had a problem like this ordering in-store pick up from any other corporation, Target, HomeGoods, HobbyLobby. Definitely check out one of those stores before ordering from Michael's because the only thing they can do seamlessly is take...

My wife and I went to Michaels to have her diploma custom framed. I yellow sign with black writing read "NEW Frame Shop Hours 11AM-7PM". It was 6:45pm and a gentleman stepped up and asked if we needed help. A minute or so later he was called away. When he came back he stated that his manager said that it was too late and we would have to come back tomorrow. I asked to speak to this manager. I showed her the sign and she (Amanda) stated that the store manager wanted the register for framing closed early so that overtime would not have to be paid out. I stated that it wasn't right but she repeatedly insisted that nothing could be done and refused to call the store manager. Finally I asked why my order could not be set up so that I could just pay the next day. She did not know if it could be done. How incompetent and unprofessional can you be? Needless to say I will not be going back. Michaels should revoke this...
