Xcellent Salon Furniture & Beauty Supply — Attraction in New York

If I could give the store 0 stars I would. I live close by to this store so I get a few of my beauty needs from here such as hair glue, nail acrylic, silicon mix, hair spray etccc but even though I always swipe my card or pay cash I still get followed around. No one ask me if I need help just stand so close to me watching me and they’re being very suspicious and obvious about it. As a black woman in an Asian owned store I find this to be very racist. It is very racist. At least ask me do I need help finding an item but no. I don’t get help. The very skinny Asian woman helped other Asian customers in the store but didn’t ask me if I needed help. I had to approach her for help finding an item them. The cashier is always polite… of course, at the end of the day the store still wants your money but you will be followed if you’re black or Hispanic. It’s sad. I will record my next encounter next time I enter the store and will post it on social media if I am discriminated again. Don’t follow me and not say anything, customer service me. I worked in retail myself, you customer service your customers and that will help deter a thief. I’m not a thief at all and have money to pay for everything I want in that store. Please do better. I bought some hair products for my hair and some makeup very convenient, they have a huge wide variety of things. As a black woman I expect a lot of black products, and they have a wide variety of products for my hair type. However you're followed around almost like they don't trust you, they probably feel like you're going to steal something, as a black woman that is a little bit uncomfortable. I felt like I couldn't shop freely and I'm being constantly watched and they were constantly being near me, other than that they were very nice to me, when asking where a certain products were they would show me. I just find it a little bit on off on how there were many other customers of different races in the store and at the time I was the only black female in the store and they had their eyes locked on me specifically, so just be mindful that you'll most likely constantly being followed. Neighbor store grand new open !!! I was driving through today and explored this store. They sell all kinds of makeup products, even furnitures . I got the hair dryer today , it’s good priced . I’d love to bring my daughter again next time , since the store is close to my house . I think she will in love with the store . They do carry what my daughter wants , like jewelries, face mask and nail polishes! The stuff also speaks English and mandarin , she is very nice ....
