The people that work here are racist. I tried to give them the benefit of doubt but on Monday was the last straw. Mid August I stopped by to buy some fish and requested to have them fillet, my niece stayed next to me watching the man cut the fish open, she’s 10 so of course she’s going to be curious. I’m guess the man had an issue with that because once he gave me the fish he mutter led something under his breath in another language and when I asked him if he had a problem he stated “what you got your fish”. Then on Monday (9/2 Labor Day), I went snack shopping with my youngest niece. When I get the the register, I was met with such hostility, the register lady just rang through my stuff didn’t even offer me a bag, when I requested a bag she said 50 cents, I have no problem paying for the bag I asked her to charge my card and she said something in another language and proceeded to take the next customer. Didn’t even wait for me to grab my things. It’s disgusting the way these workers treat black and brown people of color. This is the only Asian super market that has the things I like to eat in my vicinity, and it saddens me that I literally can’t just stop supporting this place. No one should be treated in the manner I have been treated every time I need to shop here. We’re all equal no one is better...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with the behavior of the person in charge of the meat department at this supermarket. His arrogance and lack of basic professionalism are shocking. Not only does he completely fail to meet the ethical standards expected of someone in a customer-facing role, but he also engages in inappropriate, offensive behavior—mocking, making crude and suggestive comments, and even verbally abusing customers.
This kind of conduct is absolutely unacceptable and reflects very poorly on the management of the store. I strongly urge the supermarket to take immediate action to address this serious issue.
To fellow customers: please be aware and cautious when dealing with the staff in this department. No one deserves to be treated with...
Read moreIt's a nice little supermarket with almost everything you need or want. I needed fruit and Chinese supermarkets have a larger selection of fruits than western supermarkets. Better prices for tropical fruits. I also found a greater variety of preserved fruits than I have found in other places that I like, though I must say it's a lot costlier than in the past. There's fresh meat and fish here as week and a good selection of frozen food. I found a package of frozen meat bau I'm familiar with. I don't purchase bau from the fridge. I find some baus have more dough than fillings in the fridge section and I'm not familiar with the...
