Don't go to this restaurant, horrible service. We ordered three dishes, only two dishes came out the third dish never made it to the table. We asked three times where was our third dish, waiters ignored our question, finally someone told us it was still cooking. After we finished the entire meal, when we asked for the check they came out with the chicken. At that point we are all full and ready to leave. We ask to cancelled the order, the waiter bought the chicken back, however the owner have the nerve to came back to the table ask us to pay for the chicken. So we told them to bag it, we paid for the chicken but we were so angry end up trashing the chicken.
If this is at an American restaurant, this type of service would never happen. The owner would probably apologize give a free dish. However there's no apology whatsoever, the point is they don't respect customers and don't value customers. Why would we order three dishes and pay for three while we can only eat two dishes at the table and doggy bag the third dish. They never mention anything it will take a long time to cook certain dish when we order, if that's the case we would of pick something else. I was never so angry about any restaurant service before this is the first. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE,...
Read moreThe door front, store settings and atmosphere just reminded me of local food stalls in a taiwanese neighborhood. I first visited the restaurant in 2018. After all these years, I still feel the warm hospitality from the waitresses, bringing the friendliness of taiwanese to all guests.

The dishes were stunningly delicious, yet sometimes it tasted slightly too salty, such as the shredded pork. Both Three Cup Chicken and Crispy Pork Chop were excellent in taste, the meat was tender and well sauced. While for vegetables, the Chinese cabbage were sweeter and softer than A Choy.
The price surprisingly doesn't raise considerably, but of course comparing to the portion size 4 years ago, the dishes become a bit fewer. As long as they could maintain the food quality, the size doesn't really bother me.
If you are craving for outstanding authentic taiwanese food in NYC, this is certainly a place you shouldn't miss.

I definitely recommend eating in as opposed to takeout/delivery. The food here tastes best right out of the kitchen. Chef Lin works wonders with a wok and is cheerful, chatty and a great lover of fried chicken. Workers are both friendly and efficient. A veritable diamond in the rough, stop by if you’re in the neighborhood and judge it for yourself.
