If I could rate this less than a 1 star I would. I am going to list the problems. In general this hotel is just ick. The carpets smell everywhere, the pool hours are stupid (10am-8am is crazy for an airport hotel that advertises pool), the staff are rude and are less than helpful. We wanted this as a fun extra day added on to our Christmas trip. Huge regret. Usually I can count on Hilton to have good clean rooms with good service..not the case this time AT ALL. First room: 1- requested room with sofa bed. Did not receive this. This room slept 2 and requested a room for 4. 2- curly black hair (use your imagination) all over shower and floor (what there is for floor) and I don't think the room was cleaned. Ther was definitely ruffly of the sheets as if someone had laid on top with pillows not set. 3- the bathroom was so small that you literally had to back into- and that was my 8 year old. The shower was so small(narrow and height) I felt like a giant and I am 5'2. 4- the carpets were smelly of old smoke and had ALOT of stains 5- the couch was disgusting and had stains (which is supposed to be a pull out bed) 6- when brought to attention to staff in a very polite manner they responded with " why did you take so long to tell us"- we checked in and went to a hockey game and didn't even glance at the room- in fact qe didn't go in until after the hockey. After a long discussion, should have been a simple exchange- we got a different room. Second room 1- 2 towels for 4 people and one was a bath sheet and one was small like a hair towel? 2- no pull out bed again. King size bed. 4 people. We resorted in using an air matress for my 2 kids- awful but we came prepared as we went to a friends previous. 3- connecting room with very loud baby crying and screaming all night 😳 (I'm a mom so I understand the struggle but the triple deadbolt😳 lock to keep people out..didn't keep the sound out AT ALL)- sorry about the airpuml y'all! 4- gross carpets and unclean room with hair balls wiped on shower walls in (I stopped counting) 4 different places. I am severely disappointed in this hotel. If it wasn't so late at night I'd probably leave for the service and cleanliness alone. I regret staying here which is really too bad. I have always been a loyal customer of Hilton. Do better. Edited to respond: Dear Mr. FELIX. Your response to this shows blatant disrespect and shows to prove that the resolve you and your staff provided falls short of any expectations of any hotel let alone a Hilton. A slapstick copy and paste answer doesn't fix any issues..thanks for providing a name for head office to respond about. 🙄 your business will start to suffer if you don't put money back into your establishment. Major updates are needed. Starting with your staff and building infrastructure. Again. Do better. I have many..many pictures to show.

I'm giving it two stars, because at least the facility was nice. The room was clean and looked good and the hotel overall was well decorated and looked good. However, I can't give it more stars because I was so disappointed with everything else. When I first arrived, they told me they couldn't find my reservation (which is probably more priceline's fault) and it took a bit for them to give me a room. Then, I was informed parking would be $25, which is way overpriced. They code your room with the parking pass, so you need to swipe your room key to exit the gate. However, it took a solid four minutes of swiping before that gate opened for me. You should plan ahead for this if you're trying to catch a flight. Next, the hotel restaurant is way overpriced. The cheapest thing on the menu was road tacos for $17. You actually only get two tacos for that price. So, $8.50 a taco?? The last thing that really sent me over the edge was the breakfast the next day. When I booked my room, I booked with breakfast included. Somewhere along the way, that part of my reservation got dropped (again, likely priceline's fault). So, in the morning, I sat down to enjoy a continental breakfast only to be hit with a $28 bill afterwards! I've added a photo of what I had, and you tell me if that's worth $28. Most business hotels serve that kind of breakfast for free. They didn't even have one of those Belgian waffle makers. No omelet chef either. And it's not like there's markup to pay the staff, it was a buffet! The staff isn't bringing you dishes or anything. For comparison, at the time of this writing, $28 could get you 7 gallons of gas or 6 loaves of bread or 2 meals anywhere else! Had I known the price, I would've never sat down in that place. Bottom line, if you want a place to stay near the airport, this place will do, but go somewhere else for any amenity.

The location of the hotel is decent - though it felt a bit isolated with limited dining options nearby, it is conveniently close to the airport and just 15 minutes by taxi from the Newark PATH train station. The PATH offers a direct connection to the World Trade Center station in New York, taking approximately 40 minutes. The hotel has a restaurant with great staff working there - approachable and friendly. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and very tasty. I personally recommend the Buffalo chicken wings and the Boom Boom shrimp. The check-in process was a bit problematic. Although I checked in at the reception desk, there seemed to be an issue, as my reservation didn’t appear in the hotel’s system when I tried to charge a restaurant bill to my room. There is an option to check in using the Hilton app, but I didn’t try it this time - something I’ll consider for the future. The room itself was clean and spacious, with a large, comfortable bed. However, when I booked the room, I selected the “New York City skyline view” option, and while I did have a view of the sky, it was more of Newark than New York. Additionally, much of the view was on railway tracks. My expectations were a bit different. Overall, the stay was good, and I plan to return here in the future.
