Michelle is an absolutely horrendous employee. I was trying to return packages to Amazon today, and she was the person I had the displeasure of being assisted by.
She told me to lay my phone down on the dirty scale, but I did not want to do this. I have severe contamination OCD, and this is just not something I would ever do, even on a surface that looked clean. This scale did not. Instead, I did what I have always done here and held my phone out flat for her. She apparently took this as an invitation to rip my phone out of my hands without another word and drop it down on the scale.
I now know that I have to be fearful of the employees this store has. I will never communicate with Michelle again, and if I ever think to come back to this location, I will absolutely refuse service from her, and I suggest everyone else do so as well. I doubt I will ever go back to a Staples again, though, because I know I would not feel safe.
It’s disturbing to know that Staples employs someone like Michelle, who thinks it’s okay to snatch people’s personal belongings from their hands without their permission.

Read moreI had a dreadful experience at this Staples store yesterday. I had ordered and paid for a box of file folders online, received an e-mail that they had arrived at the store, then showed up before work the next day to pick them up. After being passed from one clerk to another, I was finally told with a shrug that they didn't know where the box was. I showed them the confirmation on my phone, but that didn't help. I had to leave for work but the very helpful cashier (not one of the unhelpful, disinterested guys on the floor) took my phone number and said someone would call. No one did. Finally, I was able to call from work about six hours later and was put on hold twice before someone finally came on to tell me they had no idea where the box of folders was. He said they would issue a refund then reorder the item. Exasperated and having no interest in going to the store again or even dealing with Staples at all, I said just issue the refund. Read moreI went to best buy for a few items today. They either didn't have what I wanted or the items were very overpriced. I walked down to Staples to see if they had what I wanted. An employee named Sage helped me out and answered all my questions like an expert. TO be honest, I didn't really know what I was talking about. Sage explained it all to me like an expert and I found the item I needed.
I then decided to check out the office chairs. I did not intend to buy a new chair... but I have been thinking about it. Then Joe walked up and asked if I needed help. We spoke for a little bit and the whole time I felt like he was taking care of my best interests. Before you know it I bought a very comfortable chair at a great price and I don't regret it at all. I am happily typing this review from that chair now and I can say I am very happy I went to this store and ran into Joe. Great customer service and quite frankly some impressive salesmanship .
