Read moreI went for the first time to see Pride and Prejudice. I was super impressed with the facility as well as the production. It's a pretty small theater, but it was clean, quaint, and really, not a bad seat in the place. (My only complaint is that some scenes were on the left or right of the stage and there was a pillar on each side that partially blocked our view, but didn't hinder our enjoyment.)
The had a good selection of concessions (including alcohol) with everything priced very reasonably. I was worried about parking because we got there right before the show started, but we had no problem finding a place to park right near the theater.
The production was fantastic! The set was not overly elaborate, but was just right for the size of the theater. The costumes were perfect for the genre and the actors all did well. It wasn't Broadway, but for a local theater, I was really impressed with the quality of acting, especially by the main characters. One of my favorite things was the music and script. It was classic P&P with some Bridgerton thrown in... it was delightfully clever. I'm not sure if the script was locally done, but if not, they did a great job choosing it!
I will absolutely go to more productions here and would highly recommend this theater to anyone. Even if you're not a theater junkie, this place is perfect for a...
Read moreI saw the opening night performance of The Wedding Singer. I can’t recommend this show enough. Such talent. So well cast. Some stand outs were- the powerhouse who played Linda, the grandmother- spot on in every scene- raising the other actors to her level, the keyboard player in the band- his charisma , physicality and comedic timing was scene stealing - his bit with the horn at the bah mitzvah had me actually crying with laughter!. The wardrobe embarrassed me as I remembered wearing those styles. The detail in the wardrobe from the jazz shoes to banana clips was spot on! I’ve seen Broadway shows not nearly this entertaining. Don’t miss this...
