Please... Don't go here. I feel very bad saying this because they seemed really nice and the lady even helped me by opening the door when I left with all my food. I'm always very skeptical about the reviews I read and think that it must just be their taste, or they're super picky, maybe something happened that skewed their experience. The background story is that the owner came here from Thailand, so I figured it must be authentic Thai food. I ordered pad thai, pad see ew, a red curry and a Thai tea. All very much staples that any good Thai restaurant should have down solid. The curry was ok. Not bad but not great. The tea was not so good. Again, not horrible but it was the worst I've ever had. Thai tea is pretty simple and the ingredients still work together even when it's bad. The pad see ew was dry and very bland. They're very generous with the amount of chicken but it's a noodle dish and there was way more carrots and broccoli and about 25% noodles. Worst of all was the pad thai. Absolutely, hands down, the worst I've ever had anywhere. I've had pad thai in more places than I can count. I love it! This was not one of them. The noodles were different for one. Visually, the color and appearance looked nothing like pad thai. The noodles were clumped together and Soo dry. No sauce whatsoever. I asked for it to be spicy, which it wasn't. It was very heavy on the sour/citrus, with a tiny bit of sweetness. Please trust me on this one. There has to be better Thai restaurant out there!

The prices online are extremely misleading and need to be updated. The gentleman working said that he doesn’t have access to the online menu to update the prices. Without their own website, they don’t have a platform to upload a menu. While that is 100% understandable (you don’t need a website to have good food and good, transparent service); all it takes is a simple step to post a picture of your updated menu, which prices are 80-100% higher than what’s currently online. What should have been $50 came out to $95. All of this was kindly explained to the man behind the counter (who I assume was the manager/owner). He didn’t make a single attempt to rectify it or do anything in the spirit of good, honest business. I waited until I ate the food before writing this to give Thai Del Mar an accurate review but was also disappointed with the quality. The Panang curry was a runny soup with a handful of vegetables and overcooked shrimp. The spicy noodle was good but also had overcooked shrimp. There are way better options if you’re looking to spend $40-50/person on takeout a take out order. I’ve uploaded their updated prices. Hopefully this helps someone not make the same mistake I did.

We ordered some carry out from the website menu. When we picked up our food, the person working the counter told us that the website linked through google isn’t their website. The phone number, address and info on the web page all match the store we were in, but the prices are about 25% lower on the web page then on the menu in the store. This to go order of two items was 28$. Buyer beware, don’t be fooled with your take out order!
