OK so here's the story, several years ago I started buying Lululemon shorts, shirts and joggers. I learned about Lululemon at the gym because where I work out in Newport Beach California this is what everyone was wearing. After buying thousands of dollars worth of their products I started having problems with their pockets. If you wear Lululemon then you probably have had the same problem because I've learned that this is a major problem but their pockets are very easily damaged. The material that they use tears very easily and after a very short period of time your $100 shorts no longer have pockets that are usable.
No big deal we took them back and they would not replace the shorts. They had a policy and a procedure where you had to produce the receipt and the receipt was older than I believe a year then there was no warranty but we're not talking about one pair out of a dozen pairs of shorts we're talking about every single pair of shorts that I own. So after visiting multiple stores and being told that there was nothing that they could do for me I stopped buying Lululemon products altogether.
The satisfaction that I now have is because today I was at the gym wearing a pair of Lululemon shorts and another person walked up to me and asked me about the shorts and started talking about how disappointed they were with the pockets and the fact that Lululemon would not Replace or refund their customers after they receive bad product.
The conversation about Lululemon products between me and another person at the gym quickly became the big conversation at the gym and I'm going to guess there was a dozen people involved. When I pulled my hand out of my pocket and exposed the ripped material another person walked over to me and showed me there ripped shorts as well. The topic about how poorly made the Lululemon products were and how Lululemon won't fix or replace the product for their customers was the subject today at the gym for almost a half hour. And the greatest thing was that everyone involved in the conversation talked about how they don't buy Lululemon clothing anymore because of the ridiculous policies and procedures.
Because of their bad quality and their poor customer service I found it very interesting that in Newport Beach California where there are a lot of people that can afford to buy 20+ pairs of $100 shorts, shirts and joggers are all buying products from the competition and not buying From Lululemon.
How hard is it just to take care of your client? How hard is it to do the right thing when someone pays $100 for a pair of shorts and the pocket rips in the first month or even the first year, how hard is it to replace the product and keep the customer happy. It also gives Lululemon the ability to correct and fix the manufacturing defect.
Again I know that Lululemon is not going to go out of business because of my review but it's nice to know that in Newport Beach California where I'm going to guess a lot of their sales come from is a Group of people at a local gym that are not buying Lululemon anymore simply because Lululemon didn't do what we feel is the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had received months of great service from this retail location. I came in multiple times to receive hemming services for my clothing as I found that my joggers and pants would get damaged during normal use. Recently I had a perfectly sized pair of pants that tore near the fly section in the washing machine and when I brought them in to be hemmed I was informed that there was a manufacturer defect and that I qualified for a quality guarantee (something similarly named). I was in a rush and wasn't expected to trade in a perfectly fitting pair of pants, so I walked out of the store with pants one size up and in a different color. I greatly regret that decision. The store attendant did offer me to order the correct color and size but that it would take a week, as I was in a hurry I decided against that. I hadn't worn the pair I picked up instead very much and got very busy with life, and wanted to go back to the store to see if I could trade it in again as I had made a mistake. I also had another pair that had quality issues. I was greeted at the door and asked if I could be helped. To which I tried to explain my issue, and the store attendant looked at me and said nothing could be done. The attendant didn't bother to ask management, and looked at me dismissively and told me "It's as if you came back to the store because you "Bought the wrong color"". I really love this brand and the aesthetics and comfort of the clothing, and I really loved how they took ownership of any possible quality defects (Within reason) and other problems in the lifetime ownership of the clothing. That makes me happy to pay for their products. But this customer service interaction was so dismal I got so upset I walked out of the store and threw both problem sets of pants in the trash. It was such a breach of good faith. I wish the staff made a greater effort to accommodate me because I was a good faith customer and a happy one, and I get this quality issue which is no fault of my own and now its costed me 3 more hours of my time (Over the past three months) and 200$ worth of pants. So I hope no one else gets...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBrought in ABC pants for hemming services - length and waist. Come to find out towards the end that Lululemon does not hem waist any longer. I asked when they stopped doing waist and the hemming clerk in the back said NEVER. I have shopped at Lululemon for 12 years and can tell you they definitely have hemmed the waist in the past. Now that might be store specific, but letās just say Newport doesnāt offer it. I donāt expect much from someone like her, but to be told they NEVER offered it is hilarious and also not true. But this goes to the overall attitude of most of the workers in that store, very privileged and rude. Since they work in an exclusive location they feel like they can treat customers however they want. After reading some of the other reviews stating the same arrogance and sense of entitlement; I would recommend anyone who is an avid buyer of Lululemon to shop in Mission Viejo or elsewhere. I have bought thousands of dollars of Lululemon for my wife, children and myself and will continue to purchase the brand because of their quality; but this store I will NEVER...
