Athleta — Local services in Newport Beach

This review is about the manager at the Newport Beach location, her name is Erika.

First, I want to start off by stating that I live in San Diego and am a Pilates Instructor. I was introduced to Athleta on a trip to Newport Beach and fell in love. I must say I am surprised that it's not yet all over the place since their clothing is not only super cute, but great quality! I recently discovered they just opened shop here in San Diego in UTC center. I was there last week and was helped my a few girls, however I did not find some pants that I was looking for from a fall line catalog I received in the mail... So I called Newport and asked if they had them available. They had told me they were, my kids, husband and I drove this past Sunday to Newport to purchase them.....

As for the store Manager at Newport Beach, Erika, she is awesome. She went out of her way to help and make things right after I found out that the pants I was told were there were not!! ( I know bummer ) My husband and I were so upset that we had droven all the way over there to find out they were not available, not to mention there was a horrible accident in the freeway and took FOREVER to get there... but she made it all better.

I just wanted to tell her my family and I appreciate you going out of your way to make it right, and I will forever be faithful to Athleta! I might just have to drive to Newport next time.

I recently had THE best experience at Athleta. Having never shopped in this store before, I was absolutely blown away by the selection and how comfortable, soft and gorgeous the new collections are. I was in heaven. Not only was the store so zen and immaculate, the service was above and beyond, five stars. Kim and Chris were incredibly welcoming and kind as they assisted me with my new workout wardrobe. They made shopping more fun than I could have imagined and literally rolled out the red carpet. I was previously an Alo loyalist but honestly, these clothes are softer and so flattering and well fitting. I cannot wait to return, overall amazing and highly recommend! I'm hooked already and have been living in everything...

Was excited that I had the time to browse, try things on and thought the Fashion Island location would be great but I was wrong! Was approached and someone offered to put my things in a changing room almost immediately (assume to claim commission on my purchases.) Thereafter, apparently I became invisible? The service disappeared! No one to change out sizes, suggest options … nothing. As I exited, there was a woman folding clothes in the back and three other employees at the register without customers. I interrupted their jovial chat to inform them why I was leaving. I love this brand but at these prices I don’t want to feel like I’m at Walmart. ...
