⛪Beautiful Architecture, Rich History, Welcoming Staff⛪ The oldest Parrish in the Diocese of Providence, St. Mary's was designated a National Historic Shrine on November 24, 1968. It is known among other things as the marriage place of JFK. If you love touring cathedrals and churches, St. Mary's is a must-see. The interior is gorgeous, and I've tried to capture the splendor with my camera. Of course, nothing compares to seeing it in person! The staff onsite are friendly, informative, and welcoming. They answered my questions and provided a place for me to leave my beverage while I went inside. I'd highly recommend the experience to everyone.

Beautiful church with old world details such as a stand alone confessional with the priest in the middle and a place on either side of him for the parishioner to sit to give confession. Pews with numbers and names of parishioners and the time they attended Mass, hand carved wood detailing, and stone work.

Beautiful Catholic Church, and the church John F Kennedy got married in. A must-see in Newport R.I.. Be sure to see the plaque commemorating the Kennedy family on the aisle end of pew #10. Their is also a plaque outside by the NW corner of the church.

Wife wanted to see it because it was where John Kennedy was married but I enjoyed it more for the architecture. Church is immaculately maintained and in beautiful condition for it's age. Free to see but only open 10:00-2:00 on weekdays.

I enjoyed the 1100 am Sunday Mass here. This church is absolutely beautiful and is very historic. It was completed in 1852, and President JFK was married here. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Beautiful church with very unique history. Some of that history was that a president was married here. John F. Kennedy was married here a long time ago. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.
