I am not one to typically leave reviews. But here we are, so hold on. It's a long one.
I made an appointment online at the Pep Boys location in Niceville, FL for 2:30pm. I requested that I be called to discuss my service prior to my arrival, as I had questions about what all I needed done.
No one called, so I called around 11:30am-12:30pm and spoke with a representative from the location. I told him that I scheduled an appointment online for 2:30 and that I had questions. He was very helpful in answering my questions regarding service.
I asked if I would be able to wait on my vehicle or if it would be better to have someone pick me up. He told me that it would not be ready until end of day, specifically he said around 6. So I arranged for someone to pick me up as I live 30 minutes away from this location.
When I arrived for my appointment, 15 minutes early, there were 2 gentleman at the front. One was on the phone and the other was typing on the computer. Neither looked up to acknowledge me. The one typing on the computer seemed to be finishing inputting information into the computer and it wasn't until he was done that he finally said, how can I help you. When I said I have an appointment at 2:30, he grabbed some more papers and turned back to the computer.
A third gentleman entered from the work area and asked if I had been helped yet. I said I have an appointment at 2:30. He said we don't take appointments. I told him I had made the appointment online. To which he responded, online doesn't communicate with the store. I said well I called earlier today and spoke to someone at this store about the appointment, why didn't they tell me then. He just shrugged and had no answer. I said I just need an oil change, it doesn't have to be the maintenance check I requested with it. He said well I can tell you, you won't get the vehicle back until tomorrow morning. I told him that was unacceptable as I had to work over an hour from my home in the morning in the opposite direction. He shrugged his shoulders and said you can try our Fort Walton location, they are not near as busy as we are. Fort Walton is another 30-40 minutes further away. I left with no resolution.
I called Pep Boys customer support and all they did was file a complaint. Doesn't seem like it phased this store to treat a potential customer with such poor customer service. Also doesn't seem like Pep Boys Corporate is doing anything to support this store either. Turn off the appointment capability if the store cannot take the appointments. To give a potential customer a confirmation number and time, only to drive 30 minutes and find out that it can't be done is setting the store up for failure. As a corporate entity, do better.
I was going to use this location based on recommendations from my neighbors but I won't be sharing anything positive about the lack of service I received from this store...

Derrick, in particular, took the time to explain the service options available to me and answered all of my questions with patience and clarity.
During the service process, Cody was responsible for working on my vehicle. He exhibited a high level of professionalism and skill in his work. Cody paid attention to every detail, ensuring that my car received the proper care and attention it required. I felt confident in his abilities and trusted that my vehicle was in good hands.
Not only did Derrick, and Cody provide excellent service, but the entire team at Pep Boys - Niceville, FL showed a commitment to customer satisfaction. They completed the service promptly and kept me informed throughout the entire process. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, allowing me to relax while my car was being worked on.
I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service and expertise provided by Derrick, Cody, and the entire team at Pep Boys - Niceville, FL. I highly recommend this location to anyone in need of automotive services. Their commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction sets them apart from other automotive shops in the area.

Read moreI do NOT RECOMMEND giving Niceville pepboys your business. Chris, whom my husband and I have dealt with several times now is extremely cocky, treats customers like idiots, and is shady! A year ago I took my Toyota van to Goodyear and they were awesome. I mistakenly thought it was pepboys I had gone too but realized it wasn’t after one interaction with Chris. Pepboys recently installed 4 new tires for that van. The car developed a shake when breaking at higher speeds. We took it back to get aligned. I asked if the shake should be gone and he very derogatorily said that it wasn’t an alignment issue. I also asked if it should stop pulling to the right with the alignment and he claimed it should. Well it pulled JUST as much the minute I drove off. It just felt a little tighter. I also brought in coupons and he threw them in the trash and said it was all taken care of. He tells me the price and I ask for a breakdown bc it didn’t add up to me and oh, what do ya know, he played around with the numbers and it was all the sudden cheaper. SHADY! Now my husband just took that same van in again bc it developed a clicking sound in front right tire and yesterday a horrible, loud, grinding, scraping sound in same tire and they are claiming to not even hear either (clearly trying to cover their butt). And they are blaming my husband for having extra weight in back of van for why alignment job they just did isn’t right. Chris is basically one of those people that contradicts everything you say just for the heck of it, tries to make you feel stupid for asking any question about their work, and will clearly upcharge you until you ask for a breakdown.
