People were and are doing these things daily without it being addressed, so I started to. As soon as I did any of these things security would find me and say it wasn't allowed. I've also watched to see if they would apply the same rules to others, but nobody else was even talked to. I talked to the director himself, in a polite and hushed voice(it is a library), and he kept explaining away my complaint before he even went and talked to security, as if these things aren't actually happening- totally oblivious to what goes on at his library. Also, muslims are allowed to openly pray and worship, laying out their prayer rugs as they do so. At various government institutions people of the Christian faith get shut down for this and hit with 'separation of church and state'. Not only is it permitted at this library, but it's even promoted at this library. They openly announce Islamic holidays and practices over the intercom. But nothing about any other faith is announced. I'm going to talk to a lawyer.
