Thought of spending a few minutes with my friends playing pool over a few drinks at Skokie House but met this VERY rude bartender. Felt like we were racially profiled from the second we stepped in. The bartender who was a hispanic/latino lady literally started attacking us. Before we started saying anything she said ''I need 3 forms of ids from each of you before I can let you in, it's just the state law and i don't want to end up in jail! Go home and grab your passports if you don't have them here'' I was really shocked at why she would think that I have a passport yet I'm an U.S citizen. She went on to say that I look like I'm 21 and she that's why she needs of all those forms of ids. The other guest lady who was sitting at the counter tried to say something but she didn't listen, she returned to watching television with that other guest who was in the bar. My friends and i just left without further discussion. WHO in this day and age walks around with 3 forms of ID including a passport? I had never felt this level of racism in my own country and this lady just made me remember of the color of my skin. I'm an old man with kids who are 8 and 10 years old and doesn't make sense to be treated this way. People of color, think twice before going...

I am going back though, I am curious enough to spend a little more time there and see how it is. Neighborhood old-time bar . Not sure if your drinks are good or bad because I just had a club soda. I will edit my post...
Read moreI don't know what kind of shop that requires 3 forms of id's to get in. That's the law enforcement's duty. State law requires to have a valid ID but the Hispanic or Latino lady in the bar refused us entry saying that we should have 3/4 forms of ids, which is so crazy! She was very rude to us maybe because of the color of our skin and don't deserve to...
