Wow, what a friendly place. They have an information desk at the front and everything is clean and organized. Very easy to navigate. I grew up in Skevanston and went to the library often, but never came here. If you decide to live here, check this place out. This Village Hall is probably better than others burbs and of course better than Chicago's City Hall.

Skokie Village is far from finishing what they claimed they would do to fix up Skokie IL. Everything they try to do when it comes to department work is extremely poor quality. They rely too much on asphalt anywhere they go. They rely on asphalt on areas that are not cement rock at all, concreted areas which is a completely different grounding. They don't handle rodent control at all. They don't change the garbage cans periodically properly to keep a more improved quality in the alley way. Their street sweeping is terrible and not done enough with way more cleaning quality. Skokie village is old and outdated with their ways. There is not enough quality service from Skokie...

Administrators are taking advantage of citizens. I had a red light violation that luckily I had the evidence to prove was incorrect. But unfortunately for several other citizens that wasn't the case. Complete disregard for the rule of law, in those "hearings" you are guilty unless you have substantial proof otherwise. I saw them fine an old man in a walker as well as a homeless man with no income. They don't care, as long as they keep pulling in millions of dollars a year in fines. Every citizen should show up for those hearings. Take the time, don't just pay online. See what your local...

Skokie has gone from the village of vision to the village desperate to get a used car dealer. Writing snow ban parking tickets and red light tickets by the boatfull didn't bring in enough revenue, now Skokie has sunk to allowing a used car dealer to put up a gaudy, gimmicky tower to bring in how much revenue? The approval of Village Crossing as a purely retail development was the beginning of the decline. 35 years ago I said the Teletype site should be mixed use, and now look where Skokie is, licking...
