Ohef Sholom Temple — Attraction in Norfolk

I'm a 24 year old woman in the conversion program, and have been attending services for around 6 months now. I just went through my first ever High Holidays season. Never in my life have I ever felt more accepted or welcomed anywhere -- much less a place of worship. I've been turned away from other synagogues in the past, but OST welcomed me with open arms.

Everyone from the office staff to Rabbi Roz and Cantor Jen are lovely and kind, and I've made so many friends of all ages and backgrounds just in the last few months. Highly recommend this synagogue, and am extremely grateful for everything...

We hosted a 50th wedding anniversary celebration here at Ohef Sholom Temple. They are the kindest, hard working people. They explained the history of the building to our visiting family and the event space itself was gorgeous. Working with them was a joy. And we love that the funds go back into the community to teach people about God. We would love to work with them again...

I couldn't even speak with anyone at 11 o'clock AM .... when I stopped by I wasn't even allowed in because I knew Noone personally as it felt.... I thought I was at a Business Office and NOT a House of God that Welcomes All his Created People .... I definitely felt ostracized...
