From the beach, the trail leads to the trailhead. If you don't have a vehicle awaiting you at the trailhead, you must walk the 2 mile trail back( thankfully it is mostly downhill though). Beautiful scenery. Trails are clean and well maintained.

It's always nice to walk the trail and then come to one of the awesome shows the city of Des Moines puts on in the park. Last night was in Abba cover group and they were awesome. Kudos to the flute solo during voulez-vous and the bass solo during gimme gimme gimme. I would recommend this place for children to have fun for it also has great restrooms and ample...

My FAV trail around. Its so peaceful and beautiful walking along the creek the entire time. Great for biking, walking, running, roller blading and scootering. Its a paved trail. Its shaded like 95% of the trail so great for a hot summer day or if you want to get out...

Beautiful and flat trail with a water stream running along. Even with the occasional jets flying by, the sound of running water and the birds chirping were very relaxing. The parking is a little hassle and you may have to park in the adjacent...
