Mariana's Supermarket — Attraction in North Las Vegas

Back in February, we ordered a cake for a baby shower in March. First we were told they couldn't do certain designs and that we had to buy our own cake topper. We understood and did just that. We asked for the cake to be ready by 4pm. On the day of the baby shower in March, we came to pick up the cake a few minutes past 4 and the lady at the register on the Cake side had a horrible and disgusting attitude. They tried making me pay again although the order was fully payed. Then she told me the cake wasn't even started, that they were behind because of the orders. I waited a bit and the decorator started to airbrush blue paint on a cake. I showed her the picture again of how it was suppose to be done. I go back to the register and see if I can at least get the cake discounted since I waited over an hour for the cake. Lady got fiesty so we called up management. Told him same thing, but he said we can only get refunded if we don't take the cake at all. We had no other option but to wait until the cake was done, by then the baby shower had already started at 5:30 pm and guests were already there. They didn't tape up the cake box like they usually do (I'm guessing on purpose, good thing I noticed and held the box carefully) Never ordered cake from here again. The flavor wasn't even what I asked for when we cut into it. So basically they got a random cake they found in the refrigerator, had weeks in advanced but waited last minute to decorate a cake that they knew at 4pm was going to be picked up. Very frustrating, wish I had all their names because another person told us they also had issues with the pasteleria and specifically the cashier lady working it. Next time, I'm asking for the GM for any further issues. Management wasn't helpful at all in...

2 stars only because the tortillas are genuinely good and the fish guy is super nice but everyone else there is a RACIST. tried to buy some gorditas at the food joint inside and they helped 7 people before me when I was standing there with my friend for 3 minutes prior to them showing up waiting for someone to help. one of the guys in the group came up and asked if we were in line and we said yes but we're not being helped... he said in Spanish to the guy behind the counter "she said you guys aren't assisting her" and that employee shrugged with a smile and walked away as if to say ya we did that on purpose (the beauty of knowing Spanish as non-latinos). anyway, after that we walked out and gave our business and 20% tips to another business that deserves it. still can't believe this happened. avoid like the plague. plus it's dirty as hell inside and the corn is rotten and they still sell it to the actual paying public... I'm talking wilted kernels already decaying and black mushy mold and rot and yet they STILL want money for that corn... even a homeless shelter would turn this away... maybe the health department needs to know...

I will give this place a -5. Don't ever use their curbside pick up!! I am a disabled veteran. I waited 40 minutes in 110° weather, called 4 times & left several voicemail!! 🤬 No one picks up the phone & no one calls me back. Finally someone comes out after calling numerous times. I told the employee that no one should wait 40 minutes in a blazing hot weather. She replies "No one can hear the phone ring". I said I left several voicemail. She said "You didn't say what lane you were in". Someone could have called me back & let me know. So, obviously she's lying. All she said was "Sorry" sarcastically. If it wasn't for my AC blasting in my car, I would have dehydrated & died. Plus, to make matters worse, I was charged $40, instead of $32 for 4lb of short ribs. I got screwed over!
