Seoul Foods — Attraction in North Mankato

Update Sept 2025: This place is the pinnacle for snacks and candy. Hard candy, gummies, ice cream treats, crackers, chips, puffs... all of it! So spectacularly delicious. Literally perfect. They recently introduced cold deli foods that are also A+. I see them soon cornering the local market on specialty spices and the best drinks. Prices are the same as a chain supermarket, at times a couple dollars more for imported goods for obvious reasons, but many things especially produce are actually cheaper. Everything is meticulously clean. Upgraded my rating from 4 to the full 5 stars. A Mankato area gem. And they take EBT SNAP!

Original review Nov 2024: Great options and friendly folks. I got fresh local soy milk ("soybean juice"), Hmong sausage, and some Japanese ice cream. They had tons more I wanted but I can't go too crazy lol. Prices were average or cheaper than your usual grocery store. They had big bags of the good rice like Kohuko Rose, even black sweet rice. Lots of sauce bottles and mixes, and better dry noodle options than Walmart or other local places. Great price! The quality of the produce and fish is excellent. They also try their best to source some products upon reasonable request. They have Halal ramen (certified halal from Indonesia) and lots of different snacks. Also some authentic Asian herbal remedies like cough syrup, lozenges, ginseng, etc. Awesome customer service! Checking out the newest Asian market in the area (on Belgrade in lower North). Though smaller, they definitely carried many select favorites, with room to grow. Greeted with a warm and friendly smile; she was very helpful to the other store patrons. They appear to carry some local products as well, like B2B Honey and Soy (I only heard about this).
