Response: All I know I ended up with a even more busted 3ds that I had to fix myself and it was all hardware not software. You may not be perfect but I guess I am if I managed to fix it myself. The whole ordeal was a waste our time and effort moving onward, by the third issue I gave up and handled it myself. I haven't been there in years and my first purchase was either a faulty console or the repair was bothched. The dpad was the only issue when given and it turned into a whole thing say what you want but it was only a dpad issue nothing more. And the ds mode not working because the camera was broken when I investigated myself. Not only that the "scratches" were not "scratches" it was dents from within top bezel from prying it open which damaged and tore the right speaker which I fixed with crazy glue. Please dear god use a screen suction cup to remove those bezels and not prying tools for future consoles I know thats what happened my bezel and speaker.
Update of an update, I got a LLC and now starting my own repair shop.
Update, I fixed it my damn self. It was the camera causing ds mode to fail and the speaker membrane was ripped I had to super glue it. Who ever was the savage that opened the 3ds ruined the camera and right speaker. I replaced the camera my self with a single amazon order and not waiting a god damn week for repairs. Be aware of the 3ds butcher that's repairing 3ds's there at multivest. You might have another problem after repairs. Jeff take notes.
I bought a 3ds from there then had dpad issues a week later. They fixed it. When I went home the 3d slider was now broken. I gave it back. They told me it was a ribbon connection. Then told me it had to reseted due to homebrewing (so not the ribbon connections?) which I know is not true because the slider was working fine before when it had the dpad problem. They fixed it. Now the ds game slot is not reading games, right speaker crackles and I have two small protrusions and scratches on the front on the bezel done by prying the sysytem open, which Jeff said he would replace which I'm not even worried about anymore due to the game slot not working. A real shame man. I didnt want to write a review but I am not satified at all. I know for sure I can't get a refund do to the homebrewing but I know for a fact that this 3ds was faulty from the start. I just might have to buy a new one and certainly not from there anymore and hopefully I can find someone to fix this. Jeff if your reading this and you wanna do right call me you know what 3ds it is because I give up man not going back unless your willing to repair it all the way or flat out replace it. Mind you I dropped 140 on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had my DSI XL repair here. I had a DSI Xl sitting in a drawer for over a year; due to it not charging properly (had to apply downward pressure by the connector for it to charge). I want to add that it was in mint to new conditions body wise; no type of scratches or dents on my device. Well, I took it in and explained the issue, the owner was there and he told me it was the charging port and that it would be 45$ and that it would take 4-5 days for the parts arrival and the repair. So I agreed on getting it fixed. Worse decision ever. It took almost a month to get my device fixed and given back. They first told me my part was not available and that it would take an extra week then I waited and when I called back they told me that I had to wait an additional week cause it was ordered from China. A week later I call and they tell me it wasn't the charging port that it was hard drive that was messed up??? So guess what? I had to wait more. Finally they call me and they tell me it's fixed. I go to pick it up and guess what ot turns on and charges but now the control pad doesn't function. So I had to go back and get that fixed (free of charge of course). Finally a day later they call me to go pick it up. When I get there and I inspect my DSI I notice It was all scratched everywhere and it had random dents in the corners and the main screen is also scratched up. I mean come...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām not the person that likes to write reviews about businesses but I felt like it was my duty to express myself on here and warn future customers about this location. I took my Nintendo 3DS 2 weeks ago for a repair. The Nintendo would turn on, the screen would flash, made a pop sound and then shut off. I had a watch a video on YouTube, and this pointed to be a faulty speaker flex cable. I started looking at places online and Multivest Video Games seemed promising as it had great reviews. WHAT A MISTAKE THIS WAS. When I came in, people are not friendly. When they asked what was wrong with the 3DS, I told them exactly what was wrong and the solution. They quoted me $49-$69 and 5-7 business days. A week later they called me saying they āhad triedā everything and the 3DS could not be repaired⦠I was not ready to give up on my 3DS so I decided to order the part myself on eBay. The speaker flex cable was only $7.99! It arrived in 3 days. Upon opening up my 3DS I noticed the WI-FI antenna was missing! It also was missing the rubber feet that goes on the top of the screen and the screws that hold the SD card inside. I donāt know if they stole these parts or they simply forgot to put them back. A friendly advice, Save your money and try to do it yourself or go somewhere else. FYI, I changed the flex cable and now my 3DS is working again! I should have done that from...
