After the death of my Father I felt a good old fashioned Antiquing Day was in order. In the past we ( My Mother & I) had high success in finding items in Northgate and had excellent service. Alas this was not the case on 16th of April. We asked for the Master of Keys for a locked display case. She said in just a min. Well, 18 mins later we walked out and leaving behind what we had found. The clerk was sitting at a table gossiping with her friend. She made eye contact with me and kept on talking. Even the Man behind the counter didn't say a thing. Read moreYou can get lost in Carlisle's oldest antique shop of 2 stories (1st floor and basement). I shopped for 3 hours visiting all the vendor spots. $20 later I had a lovebird salt and pepper set, cookie cutters, wooden duck decoy, ornament, and necklaces. Their largest selection is of glass wear, and fine/costume jewelry. They have all kinds of collectables like toys, decor, books, records, bric-a-brac, and more. I found what I was looking for in my sweep of the first floor, so I don't know what awaits one upstairs. Some booths are harder to look through than others, just depends on the arrangement.
