Mount Fuji — Restaurant in Carlisle

Full disclosure, I've been ordering in via UberEats when I've eaten here recently. That said, the food is consistantly delicious, without fail. I always love the sushi I get here, as does my partner, and if we ever get adventurous and try something different, we're always met with delicious, quality food! Same with anybody else I know that orders food here! Even the few things I haven't liked have been objectively quality items, and my disliking them was simply down to personal taste. The prices are pretty standard and fair for the business they're in, and I'll happily pay for the quality I expect. When I make order notes, they follow them well. I went in tonight with a family of 4. We walked in at 8:50PM and the restaurant closes at 9:30PM. The worker looks at us and tells us he cant serve us to dine in. He comes up with its an excuse saying its an emergency and he cant let us dine in after I said you close at 9:30. He says we can order to-go. I refused but the two with us ordered to-go and the food was ready by 9PM. This means we would have had 30 whole minutes to eat. We would have been in and out by 9:30PM. I hate it when restaurants post their hours but close early and make up excuses. This same restaurant didn’t want to open up for dine-in after 4 years after covid. This was our first time at Mount Fuji, and it was a very pleasant experience. We went with friends who recommended Mount Fuji as they had been there previously. Our server was very pleasant, patient, polite and professional. Our orders were taken promptly and our meals arrived quickly. The quality of the food and the portions were excellent. We all enjoyed the Sushi and we would definitely recommend Mount Fuji. We'll definitely be back. UPDATE: June 6th, 2025. We did come back to Mount Fuji and we weren't disappointed.
