This review is for Cherry Grove Beach. Shhh. Don't tell anyone about this beach because it will get too crowded! We have been twice recently. We love the proximity to our vacation condo in north Myrtle Beach. The sand is deep and very clean. The water is lovely but it is still a little to cold for us (other people were in the water). There are lots of shells for collecting and the usual amount of sea birds. The beach entrance is right across Ocean Blvd from a great grocery store, Boulineau's. They have been there forever and besides the usual grocery items, they have awesome hot lunches to go or to eat there. The only downside to this beach is that we parked in the private lot closest to the entrance and it is $10 per hour. I heard that there is public parking nearby for $2 per hour so we will look for that...

There are locally owned shops and hangouts to visit.Murphy's is a waterfront watering hole that provides live entertainment on a regular basis. The sandal hut has great beachwear top quality sandals and quality bicycles for the beach and other places. If you want to frequent is South Carolina Beach this is the one you want to go to each year and any time...

Beach access temporarily closed while a new walkway is built. Betting it doesn't take long. Several benches. Shade & sun. Great place for a little rest...
