Dairy Hut — Restaurant in North Myrtle Beach

The place was crowded and personal opinion, not ran very well. It is over crowded and no one adheres to the social distancing or mask regulations hardly that are customers. We had a hard time with our small kids, getting in and out of the place without being overrun by people. They make your order, one thing at a time, so by the time I had ordered all the kids icecream, mine was melting down my hand, so hard to enjoy-I ended up throwing over half of it out. The soft serve is alright, very heavy and thick, not soft and light. My husband ordered 2 candy apples but only ate part of one, they looked old and not very well made. The staff was not very friendly. When we ordered the apples, we were not handed those, as we were everything else when we ordered, so when I asked I was rudely told they were across the shop in the fridge. Then after I paid and was waiting on my hotdog, they were trying to get the order from people behind us. I understand being busy but the service could have been much better! Price point is decent, but that's the best thing I have to...

Always great ice cream here, although the staff could use a little customer service training. Granted they are really summer hires and how much investment do you put into that, nonetheless you're interacting with people all afternoon and evening and they just need to soften their edge a little bit and tone down the obstinance and turn up the smile and gracious host in them. This is not any one off either, it is a consistent pattern I've noticed over 8 years. Nothing bad or egregious, but just an edge and a little bit of a bite the staff needs to rid themselves of. So terrible customer service, was not greeted at all, my friend ordered an ice cream cone NO choices of type of cones, there are several , sugar cone, waffle cone not no options here, ordered a banana split $7.00 it was split alright running over to such a huge mess had to ask for additional wax paper for it was just a sloppy messy , my son asked for a second container, to help catch the ice cream, then had to go into the rest room to get the sticky melted mess off me , I Am an adult and felt like a little kid making a huge mess. Zero Stars ...
