Here for 3 weeks in a nightmare condo. We've stayed here many times in different condos, but this one was the worst. 1109 Laguna Keyes. The carpet was nasty & stained, there were stains on the headboards & stains on the bathroom wall, one of the toilets had a black ring in the bowl & when I called to have housekeeping come clean it (we had no cleaning supplies) I was told they would but no one ever showed up. There were roaches in the kitchen & one of the bathrooms, and after spraying TWICE, there were still roaches in the kitchen cabinets. The microwave literally had holes burned in the roof of it inside. Because the inside stayed hot when it was not even being used, we just unplugged it. We felt it could have been a fire hazard. WHO BURNS HOLES IN THE ROOF OF A MICROWAVE?! And how does that even happen?? Garbage was in the garbage can under the kitchen sink when we arrived. A kitchen drawer & cabinet were broken, but maintenance did come fix them when we called & and complained, but some of the cabinets are still literally taped together with white tape. The oven light went out & the disposal quit on us numerous times. They did come steam clean the carpet for us, the water was black. We walked on wet carpet for 5-6 hours until it dried, but that couldn't be helped. Zach & Bailey from Livingstons came & steam cleaned the (sand colored) carpet throughout the whole condo. They were extremely friendly and did a great job! Electric sockets were loose, nothing would stay plugged in, the plugs kept falling out, but only 2 were replaced in only one of the bedrooms when we complained. The toilet in the master BR ran continuously. They had to come fix it twice to get it to stop. There is a brown ring on the den ceiling where the ceiling fan goes around. It looks like where the fan blades sling dirt as it goes around. There are literal dust bunnies stuck all over one of the BR walls. Housekeeping did NOT clean this condo before we got here, or if they did, not very well. The couch and throw pillows are stained. I had to cover them with a sheet for us to be able to stand to use them. We rented in January 2021 for the following September, I called MONTHS early to say that I noticed black mold on the bathroom ceiling in one of the bedrooms (from the Gallery photos) and asked if they could remediate it before we got there so, imagine my surprise when we arrived to find they had SPRAY PAINTED THE CEILING WHITE OVER THE MOLD! You can still see the mold through the paint, not to mention the ceiling is several shades of yellow next to the new stark white spray paint. Seriously unbelievable. Never again. The disposal has quit on us numerous times. Even when we reset it, it doesn't work. Maintenance fixed it once. I'm not calling again. We'll just do without. We've loved Laguna Keyes and have stayed here for years through Condolux, then Condoworld, we love Cherry Grove bc it's not like being in Myrtle Beach at all, we love the hot tubs & lazy river at Laguna Keyes and the beautiful beach & beach view from the oceanfront condos but, spending nearly $5,000 for 3 weeks in this nightmare of a condo was the most disappointing ever. HOWEVER... Condoworld was pretty accommodating for every complaint we had. I know they got tired of me calling, but we kept finding things wrong. They did provide us a loaner countertop microwave (and advised us the condo owners will have to replace the original one,) and they did come to fix whatever we complained about. But... for the price we paid for 3 weeks here, there should have been nothing wrong in the first place. We spoke on numerous occasions to Heather, Holly, Norma, and Francis. Heather & Holly were more than professional and friendly. Norma & Francis sounded as if it was a chore to do their job. To be clear, I'm not complaining about Condoworld, only unit 1109 in...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with Condoworld and our stay. We were scheduled to check in Saturday and I received a text at 11:45 Saturday morning notifying us the condo was ready. I sent my daughter to pick up keys and she was advised that the text was sent in error and the room was not in fact ready for check in. No other communication regarding check in was provided and I directed my daughter to back to CondoWorld at 4 p.m. to pick up the keys. CondoWorld was notified on Sunday that the coffee pot was broken and I was directed to call back when maintenance would be "available" on Monday at 9 a.m. You would think that maintenance would be available 24/7 to guests but not so with CondoWorld!! The answering service answered the phone until 9:15 when an employee finally showed up. I advised them that the coffee pot was broken and that two beds in the unit were literally caving in. In addition, I notified them of a bug that was discovered in the kitchen as well as the toilet in the master bathroom running for minutes after it's flushed. Condoworld replaced the broken coffee pot with the cheapest alternative they could locate and informed me that the bug was simply the "local" bug they have in S.C. however, I have been a guest at this same resort for the past 20 years and have never seen this bug in the other unit. Condoworld contacted the owner and he agreed to replace the beds in the unit on Monday. They weren't in stock and on Wednesday the beds were replaced. Unfortunately myself and another guest were forced to sleep on broken beds for over half of our stay. Does Condoworld even check the units they rent, the damage to the beds was visible and they admitted the beds hadn't been replaced since 2014. I seriously doubt I was the first guest to complain about these beds. Condoworld should have decreased this unit's capacity by 2 if not 4 due to the damaged beds. This is not how I anticipated to spend my vacation. Condoworld never addressed the toilet issue so were forced to listen to a running toilet for the duration of our stay. It seemed like one thing after the other and at no time was Condoworld concerned about their guests sleeping on broken beds and/or listening to a running toilet. BEWARE, if renting through Condoworld for BAYWATCH, TOWER 2, UNIT 522. My vacation was ruined, considering the rate I paid for the room I am very disappointed with the overall experience. * I don't score Condoworld with 1 star, it would be no stars but in order to post the comment you have to click on a star* This feature should be removed or disabled to allow for honest...
Read moreWe recently vacationed at Laguna Keys, Unit 911, renting through Condo-World. The unit was spacious, oceanfront, comfortable living quarters, and met the needs of our family. However, the unit’s cleanliness was not satisfactory. We question what is required of the housekeeping staff. As we began unloading and unpacking our linens and kitchen items, we found numerous issues. Here is a list of what we found the first day… *To begin with, when we arrived at the condo unit, the door was unlocked and opened halfway. *The dishwasher was not emptied. Since we did not enter the condo unit early, we are sure there was enough time for housekeeping to empty the dishwasher. *Crumbs on and under the dining room table, on dining room chairs, and floor. We scraped dried peanut butter and dried ketchup from the dining table surface. We also wiped off dried drink stains on 2 chairs. So many crumbs that when we vacuumed, we could hear the noise of crumbs being sucked into vacuum, not only in dining area, but also in kitchen. *The dining table remained sticky the entire week, even after multiple wipe downs. We could not play games or cards, as they stuck to the table. *We had to wipe down the washing machine as it had dirt stuck to it. *Long, black strands of hair left in 3 dresser drawers, on shower wall in 2 of the bathrooms, bathroom sink, and coffee table in living area. *In 1 bedroom, sand was on top of comforter and inside on sheets. *Bedroom with bunk beds had blood stains on one of the comforters, in plain sight. *Door from master bedroom to balcony was welded shut. Not a housekeeping issue, but false advertising, as access to balcony from master bedroom was not possible. We spent the first day cleaning the unit. Should we have called for housekeeping to return? Maybe. However, we just cleaned as we found issues. We did not want to wait for housekeeping to return, and did not want to encounter any negative attitudes for having them to return to clean the unit. We are aware good help is hard to find these days, however, this in inexcusable. We feel cleaning service fee for our reservation should be returned. If we were the owners of the condo, we would not be happy. I’m sure the owner may never know of this complaint. We vacated the condo in a much cleaner state than what we arrived to. We hope we can trust Condo World will deal with this matter. We will not be renting through Condo World...
