Learn moreIf you're looking for a bbq place that's legit in Myrtle this is it! I had the burger with brisket and it was probably the best burger of my life. My daughter had the kids burger and she loved it. My husband had the 3 meats 2 sides and the meats were all great! He smokes meat at home and was very impressed with the smoke ring on the brisket. Definitely with a trip! We also got the nachos for an appetizer and they were awesome! Out waitress was a sweetheart! The owner is a nice guy and it was great to see him helping the waitresses out by cleaning tables, seating customers, and engaging with the customers. The homemade sauces are great. I regret not asking if they sell them. The ONLY complaint I have (and it's minor) is we were a party of 8 and the restaurant is TINY so as we were walking in the building trying to squeeze in the very packed restaurant the lady behind the bar yelled at us in a very unwelcoming way to shut the door. I get its hot in there but it was so unfriendly we almost walked right back out which we ended up seeing other customers do as she yelled at them. We then saw her talking about the customers (including us) about how dumb you have to be to leave a door open. Trust me we wanted in the building too. We weren't standing outside in the heat for fun. But don't let that scare you away...it really is a great little hidden treasure and we will...
Read moreWhat place has the audacity to name itself after arguably the king of the BBQ cut? Brisket that's who, it backs it up on spades. I can't say enough about this place; the smoked meat was totally legit, beans were awesome, collards would make my grandma proud. The Cherry on top is meeting "Big D" out back. He said he made the collards which made my wife's day. When we get back to North Myrtle this is our first stop.
Update * A year later and we're back, and Brisket is better than ever. It totally made up for the dinner trainwreck from last night at another place. This is a must stop for us.
Another Update * Three years later (missed last year, thanks covid) still fantastic food. Go early (like 4) or plan to be very patient, but it's well worth the wait. The folks there are gems!!
Yet another update * Still our first stop to North Myrtle, Heather served us again and is awesome but the other folks make us feel like family. This place doesn't just fill your belly it fills your spirit. Our first must stop. Love you guys!!
2024 update * Brisket is STILL our must stop and is still great. Lauren was an awesome server and we look forward to...
I wanted to like this place... And with a name like brisket I didn't think I could go wrong... 4.4 rating with almost 2k reviews. We also missed a 30 min wait if we would have came any later so that was promising.... But after getting there and having a long wait for the food that is usually already cook probably took around 30mins. Not only that when the food came out, everyone's food was cold. One of the orders got messed up and not to mention the brisket slices one of our party received was cold and also dry... My ribs were hard and cold, the brisket tacos were good but nothing amazing.. my brisket in the tacos were actually not dry, but the yellow cheese and a lot of it was too much and took over the taco... Taco Shell was good for the taco nicely toasted. Fried green tomatoes were not to par either... Breading was course and tomatoes were not cooked enough.... The other two guest that got the Mac and cheese thought is was good but their dishes were cold... I usually can pic out the good restaurants by rating and by the people who comment... Unfortunately this one didn't come close to hitting the mark and let me down.... Idk if they will never let me pic a place...
