Bank of America (with Drive-thru ATM) — Attraction in North Plainfield

This post deserves a 0 star. I've been a long time customer of BOA for 20 years. My boyfriend needed to open a checking account, so we thought BOA would be perfect. We go to this branch to open an account. First, the woman that saw us and asked what we needed looked hesitant to even help us. When we told her what we need, she said they were helping their last customer for the evening (despite still have a half hour until closing) and we could make an appointment. She said no one would be available until the 3rd week of December to make an appointment. I clarified that this was simply to create a checking account and she repeated they would be unable to help until the 3rd week of December. This was completely unacceptable that a bank was so unwilling to help, especially one I have thought so highly of. I expect way better quality, professionalism and customer service than this....

Although this is not my bank I took my grandmother to cash her check earlier this week. My grandmother is a lovely lady but often takes a lot of time to get in line and cash her checks lol. But we had the teller Celimar who made her day. My grandmother was reassured in taking her time, and expressed how much they appreciate her business. My grandmother has been banking with BOA for a looooong time. I'm very grateful for the teller who we later found out was the assistant manager Celimar made her feel seen and appreciated as a customer gave her, her business card and let us know if we need anything to let her know! I did two transactions here today. The first one with the representative was great. She was nice and warm and verified my id. The teller was rude. She didn't believe that I was who I said I am even though the representative just verified my I.D and she treated me like a criminal. I asked to use her pen and she grabs it and said "this is my pen, go to the table in the back to use a pen". Seriously? My transaction wasn't even done. She couldn't give me a pen to use right there?
