Dallas White Park — Attraction in North Port

This is a nice park, however I'm going to post this publicly in hopes that it can prevent this from happening to anyone else. I was sitting on the bench at Dallas white park close to the parking area. I noticed a white truck that was lifted parked near the youth center. There were two white guys in it with ball caps. I found it odd that they kept staring at me and that they were parked over there watching my every move. I decided to start walking and they started to pull out. So I walked back the opposite way hoping that I'm just making a mistake and being paranoid. I knew I wasn't and I never ignore these gut instincts. The truck started to follow me and asked me if I needed a ride. It was super creepy. Why the heck would I get in the truck with two guys I don't know that is predatory behavior. I hope they do not do this to any other girls or women. I am capable of defending myself, but I shouldn't have to at this place. Nice park with playground, ballfield, picnic shelter and other picnic tables and family friendly areas. Some open areas and some shaded. Also, 2 lighted volleyball sand courts and public bathroom facility. Bike & Walking path make it also easily accessible by car biking and walking. The Cocoplum waterway runs adjacent for those wanting to fish from shore and the boat launch and kayak launch adjacent are also a bit of an undiscovered treasure. Great spot, at least for the near future. Pending large scale Development, both commercial and residential, of the former Sabal Trace Golf property will significantly increase traffic on Greenwood which is the main route of access for Dallas White Park, along with the YMCA, the Firestation, other housing developments and apartments and the primary access to this pending/proposed project. This park is amazing. My boys love this park. They always have someone to play with and the ages of the children are pretty good meaning the age is range from anywhere from 1yrs old to like 13-14yrs old. My only qualm about the place is that it has mulch so the little ones are always getting pretty dirty. Plus the last few times we've gone we've had the little one to four one to three your old side closed due to a crack in a tunnel so that stinks cuz my kids are 2 and...
