Rating this five stars because I've always have experienced really good service here and lots of help. I don't want to rate this place poorly because of ONE experience. Also, if you are a manager or whatever I'm not writing this to get the employee in trouble. He seems very knowledgeable and I do NOT want him to get in trouble for this. I've dealt with him before and he was always really nice I just wanted to bring up my experience today. I don't expect you guys to buy these ps2 games I brought in either so don't think that.
But today I took in a bunch of games that I knew probably wouldn't be worth much. I went in with that mentality and made the employee fully aware before he even looked at the games. I was totally honest and didn't expect much. I just figured I'd try. No harm in trying! The employee immediately ignored what I said and insulted every game I brought in over and over. It was totally degrading and uncalled for... I felt really embarrassed because I made it clear that they probably weren't worth anything. I just thought he went a little bit overboard with his comments and could've just told me he couldn't buy them. I didn't leave mad or annoyed but I left kinda embarrassed and surprised about the whole experience.
He also said he could only buy like one game for $1 but he didn't want to even waste his time on the process. I mean there was no one really in there but I didn't push him to go through with buying the game.
Again I don't want this employee to get in trouble and will continue to come here. But I wanted to make whoever reads this aware that this was unacceptable behavior and I think it could've been handled in a better way. I just hope he can be made aware of this so he can learn from this. Thank...
Read moreGamestop, more like Scamstop. This place is a disaster zone. I walked in hoping for a decent deal, but what I got was a rude awakening. First off, there's this young shady hispanic employee hustling kids like it's nobody's business. He had the audacity to offer a measly 19 bucks for a Wii console and Super Mario Galaxy 2 from a 10-year-old! I mean, seriously?
And that's not even the worst part. When I tried to step in and offer the kid a fair deal, this employee bans me from the store. Instead of helping customers, he's too busy playing with game cases like it's some kind of joke. Meanwhile, he's forcing his coworker to pick up the slack. It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion. On top of this, I bought 5 xbox games, and 1 of them didn't even have the disc inside. Avoid this store at all costs.
Gamestop management, if you've got any sense left, you better clean house and get rid of this scam artist masquerading as an employee. Customers deserve better than...
Read moreI doubt this company will make it another 2 years since you can buy games, playing time etc online. The prices are rarely a deal. Last year to buy a ps5 and the only way was to buy it grouped with 2 games that weren't wanted. So I went to Best buy to buy the 2nd one. I'd have to say in the past 5 year's I spent close to 1k each year. This year I spent 70.00 because they made it ridiculous to order online to get the 5 or 10 dollar off buying a certain amount and pick up at the store. Do yourself a favor and buy it directly from Xbox or Nintendo or Amazon and save yourself...
