Usually, one of my favorite restaurants and both my wife and I enjoy eating here once or twice a week. Today happened to be a horrific experience. We were seated out side, which we requested. When I sat down on my chair, something brown that was on the chair, got onto my expensive dress pants. Then I looked down and my shoe was stuck on huge wad of melted gum. Both my wife and I then ordered pancakes and I asked for ice water with lemon and my wife got iced tea. My water came, but no lemon wedges. I asked the waitress again to please bring some. Once again she never came...so I asked a third time and finally I received the lemon. When our pancakes arrived, both my wife and I noticed that they were not very warm at all. Possibly they sat for sometime before the waitress brought them. I then stated to the waitress that I do not have any syrup. I sat there for approximately 8-10 minutes and still no syrup came. I finally got up from my table and went into the kitchen area and stated, " can I please have some pancake syrup?" The syrup was then brought to my table. At this point, I told the waitress now my pancake is quite cold and I want a new one made. The new pancake was made and delivered to me by the manager. Needless to say, I will be sharing my experience with others.... I don't plan on giving up on the restaurant, but this experience certainly has dropped First Watch in Coco Plum to a new low...

A local gem

We have visited this area of Florida many times from the UK and have tried many restaurants. This is rapidly becoming one of our 'go to' eateries for breakfast.

There is plenty of outdoor seating available on a patio, however, we chose to eat inside.

We did not make a reservation which at the time we visited did not appear to have been needed. But the restaurant does get busy.

We were shown to our table immediately upon arrival by the hostess and provided with menus and beverage lists. A comprehensive menu of breakfast staples and specials.

Our waitress.arrived promptly to take our order and answer any questions that we had.

We ordered the Florida waffle, a Belgian waffle, chicken apple patties, side of bacon, side of parmesan cream potatoes and a side of millionaires bacon. All washed down with a fresh orange juice and a cold mint mocha coffee.

The drinks & food arrived quickly without being rushed and was well presented and was a good size portion without being excessive.

Throughout the meal, our server was very attentive, chatty, approachable and very personable and made us feel very welcome.

We would certainly recommend this restaurant to others and will go back there again
