IL Primo Pizza & Wings — Restaurant in North Port

Took me nearly 3 years to finally check this place out and I did. I immeidately feel like I am back at a small wing/pizza joint of Western, NY.

Wings that actually taste like they were made in Buffalo... So rare for our area here. Especially with so many Western New Yorkers living in our area.

My favorite NON-traditional Buffalo Wing flavor is the Garlic Parm. Very tasty. Love the online ordering feature. Whoever built it knew what average people have to go through when ordering wings in this area. Love the x2 crispy option.

The Blue Cheese is pretty good and the portion is very far when compared to other joints in the area. They give you about 2 to 3x more than other places.

My ony negative thing is that they do not serve carrots or celerey with the wings, which isn't that big a deal, but it is the only thing missing from the Buffalo, Western, NY experience. This place reminded me of La Nova in Buffalo. Same kind of concept. The GM is good dude. Really cares about his place and the quality of food and experience the resturant provides.

My new favorite wing place and even if I want to go Hooters to hang out I would probably come here first to get food before I go there.

Lastly, the prices are also very fair when compared to everyone else. Actually a little bit lower than everywhere else and with that great Buffalo Wing quality its a really great choice to order from Il Primo... Thanks...

*CHANGING MY REVIEW BASED ON NEW MANAGEMENT AND WHAT THEY SAID OWNERS NEW POLICY IS. MY CHILD IS NOT ABLE TO HAVE TOMATO SAUCE. WHEN MAY WAS THERE SHE ALWAYS ALLOWED MY DAUGHTER TO SUBSTITUTE THE TOMATO SAUCE FOR A GARLIC BUTTER SAUCE. APPARENTLY JAY JAY AND ERIN (MANAGERS OR AT LEAST THEY CLAIMED) SAID THEIR BOSS THE OWNER WILL NO LONGER ALLOW THAT. THIS WAS OUR WEEKLY FAMILY OUTING. WE HAVE BOUGHT MANY PIZZAS FROM THEM. WE WILL NOW GO ELSEWHERE SINCE THERE ARE MANY OTHER PIZZA PLACES THAT WILL GLADLY SUBSTITUTE A SAUCE. I THINK THIS WAS RIDICULOUS. THE NEW STAFF DOES NOT SEEM TO CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE AS MUCH AS WHEN YOU FIRST OPENED.

Pizza is good, wings are amazing (I had the bone in Garlic buffalo). Staff is very friendly and helpful. Have to give a shout out to one who stood out and went up and beyond to make our dining experience with them a good one since there are certain ingredients my daughter cannot have...(Thank you May!) Other than the beach, it's moments like these that makes driving 16 hours so very worth it. JJ is the absolute homie and took care of me and my little crew during our dine-in. We only ordered personal sized pizzas (8") and a few appetizers to give IL Primo a try! We waited maybe 2-3 minutes and our appetizers were already on the table (I ordered Bosco Stix which are absolutely to die for) and they were fresh and made to order. Fast forward about 7-8 minutes and the pizzas come out - OH MY GOODNESS. JJ had his cooking crew whip up Large pizzas rather than a personal sized pie for a full and immersive experience. The Buffalo Chicken pizza was piled with juicy pieces of chicken, bacon crumbles, blue cheese crumbles, a good kick of buffalo sauce and chopped onions. The crust was cooked to perfection and even with all those toppings, it did not get soggy, but it was a TON of food for the price!
