Floor & Decor — Attraction in North Richland Hills

After an extremely shaky and disappointing start there were three individuals that went way beyond expectations to make everything right. My wife and I want to say a huge thank you to Brian, AJ, and Billy for going the extra mile to make sure we were happy. We could write a book on everything that happened but to sum it up wrong custom vanity was ordered, we were told items had arrived when they hadn’t, items that had arrived could not be found. So after saying that let me tell you what these 3 Associates did to fix the issue and win us over to become their customers for future projects. When we were told our special order tile was in and we showed up to get it and no one could find it and basically was told sorry we don’t know what to tell you, we placed a call to Brian. Brian did not only apologize but drove to another location and picked up the extra tile we needed and brought it back to our area store! My wife goes to pick up the tile and was passed to three different individuals even with her telling them where Brian said it would be. Tile finally found! My wife then inquires as to the where abouts of the vanity that we were told was in, again 3 more associates later and an hour and a half later and a very mad wife, my wife finally is approached by AJ. AJ went to great lengths to reach out to the vendor to get information about our order. He did not get any info while my wife was there but promised to call as soon as he heard something. He did exactly what he said, called my wife that night even after the store was closed to give her the update and at that time we realized that the associate who placed the order had not ordered the vanity. The next day I talked to AJ and we canceled the order and decided to go with an in stock vanity to not delay our contractors again. AJ put our name on it knowing my poor wife would be returning the next day to pick it up. Next day my wife shows up and is told again no one can find the vanity. AJ was not in the business so an associate walks my wife up to Brian. After Brian searched and the vanity could not be found he immediately got on the phone called another store had them put their hands on the wanted vanity. Brian gets off the phone and tells my wife that he would personally go get the vanity and deliver it to our home that afternoon. Billy was there and offered to assist in getting this delivered. My wife leaves the store. Within an hour and a half she receives a call they were on their way with our vanity. Brian and Billy pull up to our home in a rental truck, as unknowing to us they don’t have store trucks, and delivery our vanity. They actually went and rented a truck to make this right. Can not say enough good things about the great customer experience these three provided when things went wrong! Think how great these three can be when things go right!

I had never been to Floor & Decor but I had a tile project and decided to stop in to see what was a available. Fortunately for me, Rachil Hanna was working in the design area and offered to assist me. She was truly delightful and very knowledgeable about their products as well as design ideas. I explained my project which is a fireplace surround. Initially, she showed me products many people choose and why. As we "shopped", she became increasingly aware of my personal taste and was better able to guide me to choices that were better for me. She went to great lengths to show me tile choices that appealed to me and were appropriate for the project but then went on to explain grout options and even coordinating products with which I had no knowledge.In the end I left with samples to take home and try not only for the fireplace surround but also for kitchen backsplash which even surprised me! Her attention to detail exceeded my expectations.

She asked when I planned to do my project. I told her as soon as I found a tile installer as I had called 2 who opted not to return my calls and 1 who based on his bid was clearly was not interested in doing the job! Moments later, Rachil introduced me to an in-store representative of a company called "Installation Made Easy". I signed up for them to come to my home and provide me with a FREE bid for my project! Within minutes, I was contacted by the company and an appointment was scheduled for the same week. I was leaving with the one thing I didn't have when I arrived, the possibility of having finally found an installer!

I paid for my samples and was leaving the building, thinking "Best experience ever! I could not be happier". Just as I was going out the door, an employee was coming in and offered to carry my samples to my car for me which was just icing on the cake.

I am not one to write reviews but my experience at Floor & Decor was so impressive, I felt Rachil and the other staff deserved the recognition for their hard work, being so helpful and being so courteous. Plus, I felt other customers needed to know that there are still stores who offer excellent customer service, going above and beyond to insure your satisfaction.
