I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I went in 2 weeks ago looking to buy rear speakers for my truck. Their tent sale was going on, and I wanted more bass and power out of my stereo system. So, I bought $1,300 worth of supplies. Speakers, stereo, anything and everything needed to make it work in my truck. I installed my rear speakers myself, all went well. They installed my stereo. Everything seemed fine and great, I was happy. Until my truck started dying. I needed jumpstarts. I didn't get all the parts I was supposed to get so I could wire my sub myself. When I first went in, they parked the back end of my truck into a bush and scratched my paint. They buffed it out. They left my truck unlocked with the keys in the center counsel of my truck with the windows down. They are supposed to walk around your vehicle and inspect dents and scratches. They didn't. Just wrote down on paper each and every side. I called back because I was upset about how they wired everything. They said that they would fix it for free, and add in a USB port for my troubles. Communication with these people is horrible. I took my truck in for a second time yesterday so they could fix everything. My installer even mentioned that he forgot to wire in the chime sounds. My chime sounds like a baby toy. It's ridiculous. My installer was rude over the phone. He was pushy and irritated. Asked me questions and hung up with "OK." I asked for the corporate number, or who I could talk to and they said they weren't allowed to give any information out. They gave me attitude and denied almost everything. There are pry marks in my dash. My dash wasn't put together how it was supposed to be. I have hood pins so my hood doesn't latch, and the hood was slammed so hard that it was stuck. I am NOT happy with the service that was received, and I don't even know who I can talk to about it. I would have trusted Walmart or Best Buy to do a better job than these people did. Unbelievable.
EDIT- I came back here after the 7 months as I bought a 2020 Honda Civic SI. I wanted them to install my old sub that they installed in my truck. I came in, had everything planned out and they gave me a price. I confirmed and wanted to proceed. When they were telling me all the information and proceeding to the forms (vehicle inspection to make sure there is no damage before hand) I simply commented “I want to take some pictures of the vehicle beforehand if that’s okay. Last time I was here someone scratched my paint off my truck by parking in a bush.” The very unprofessional manager heard me and butted in. He was very angry and denying everything and said he didn’t remember it even though ever other worker there did. Even the tech said “oh that was your vehicle?” The manager then proceeded to talk to me in an unprofessional manner telling me that none of it happened and that I was complaining and that he “shouldn’t even service my vehicle.” I walked away. Do NOT spend your money here. Do NOT waste your time. Your vehicle will be damaged in some way shape or form and the manager has no business being so incredibly rude to the customers especially when I spent $1400 the last time I came in there....

I was looking to upgrade the sound system in my 2021 RAV4 Hybrid. After looking into reviews at all the shops near me I decided to check out Car Toys in Northglenn. I originally wanted to upgrade all the stock speakers and add a 5 channel amp + a sub to the trunk area.
Upon arriving at Car Toys I began speaking with Trevor. Trevor was very knowledgeable and even suggested not upgrading the stock speakers yet to save some money and instead just amplifying the stock speakers so that they’d sound better. I can’t lie upon hearing this advice I was a little skeptical as I have never been a huge fan of stock car speakers, but man am I glad I took Trevor’s advice.
Trevor then walked me out to my car with Johnny to discuss the plan for the sub. Johnny was also very knowledgeable and made me feel confident that this upgrade was going to get me exactly what I was looking for. We talked over speaker options and sub options and both Trevor and Johnny made sure I understood why they were recommending certain products and why they would advise against others.
I originally wanted to throw a 10 inch sub in the trunk, but after discussing with Trevor and Johnny decided to go with a 12 inch sub. This was going to be enclosed in a custom fiberglass box made by Johnny.
After leaving Car Toys I left on a snowboarding trip and had my wife drop the car off at Car Toys the following Sunday to get the job done. My wife also had nothing but good things to say about the way the team at Car Toys treated her.
Upon landing back in Denver on my return flight I got a call from Johnny. He let me know that there might be an issue with the fiberglass box as it would be on top of where the car battery sits and if anything were to happen to the battery it would be a pain to access it as the fiberglass enclosure would need to be removed. I asked for his suggestion and he suggested a downward firing wood box in the trunk area. At this point my confidence level in Johnny was sky high so I just told him to do whatever he thought would be best.
We just got car back yesterday, and my wife can’t stop talking about how clean the sound is in the car and how much more fun she is having driving it around as a result of the upgraded system. Johnny even asked what kind of music we prefer and ported the sub box because of it and tuned our system accordingly.

Read moreI have NEVER been treated so rudely in a store before! I was to have a backup camera installed. I had rescheduled my appointment. I came by on the rescheduled time to drop off my vehicle. The tech install guy said he was not expecting me and said he’d take my vehicle in, but said he wasn’t going to work on it! Really?! He said he was going to give priority to someone else, who hadn’t even showed up yet. I didn’t know playing favorites was a thing when getting an install? I told the store Manager that I was very unhappy with this. He was a soft-spoken guy and didn’t respond to me at all! In fact, he ignored me. There were so many loud guys and music. It was chaos!
I took time out of my weekend to get this done, had to plan on getting picked up. This was very inconvenient and rude treatment! I took the screen I paid for and will have it installed elsewhere. Wow! These are VERY disrespectful people! This rude treatment was unexpected and all these guys are loud and obnoxious! There doesn’t seem to be any order or communication with each other and the Manager didn’t know how to use the computer to process a basic refund.
They wanted to charge me $420 to install this backup camera screen. What a rip-off! Come to find out, I was charged for a warranty on the screen that I wasn’t informed about and would normally turn down and the line items for the charges didn’t make sense, were very purposefully unclear! “Miscellaneous” charge, “Shop fee” and an unexplained $49.99 charge! What a scam! This place is taking people for a ride! They need a serious check! Is this what to expect from a National company? Rude and disrespectful treatment of customers? One of the guys was freaking out and cursing because he couldn’t get the printer to work. He was yelling, obnoxious, the tech install guy was rude, obnoxious and entitled. I’ve never seen such out of control, entitled people! I will be reporting them to BBB.
I sure would steer clear of this place, especially if you are a woman! The way I was treated was unacceptable and an outrage! These are fraudulent business practices and this needs to change. 5 minutes earlier, another customer walked out in disgust! Terrible...
