First of all, I've never used QuikTeks before and never had a tech drive to my home. Andy was the one who took a look at my desktop. I thought the issue with it was just a PSU problem; I was somewhat right. When Andy looked at it he found out it wasn't just the PSU but the GPU, CPU, RAM stick, and HDD. So it was worse than we thought. So Andy took the Desktop with him to fix it and asked if we would like to try a data recovery. We said yes and he explained the price point with us from the start. But low and behold another issue raised; when Andy called back about the data recovery he gave us another, higher price after because apparently some miscommunication was had and it was going to be a lot more than we expected. So I talked with Andy and he gave us a cheaper deal than what was talked about. This man is very passionate about his work he should definitely be further up in the company imo. So after a few days of working tirelessly to getting the desktop up and running, Andy also decided to to make a few modifications that would be more efficient and gave us an autonomous GPU so no driver updates never have to be installed. And among other things. All in all very satisfied with the work and time he and Alex put in. Will definitely use them again and definitely recommend anyone to them....

My computer crashed and unfortunately I did not have it backed up. As a result, I contacted Quick Teks to see if perhaps they could assist me in getting my information back on my working hard drive. I spoke with owner Owen who immediately dispatched Andrew to my residence. I explained to Andrew what exactly occurred when I lost my hard drive data. He took my desktop with him and began working on my hard drive. Owen followed up with a price quote and didn't pressure me into making a decision immediately and even said if I was not interested in having the work done the only expense I was responsible for was the diagnostic fee. We negotiated a price to have Andrew go to work on my data retrieval. After several days of work Andrew completed the job. Brought in my $1400 gaming rig to them for a quick clean and re-paste of my CPU and GPU thinking the computer was throttling and causing issues— These guys went above and beyond to fix my computer by finding the source of the issue (my SSD was installed poorly and causing performance issues under max load) while cleaning the PC.

They also noticed some 'wear' on the GPU (CUDA cores on a 3060ti being disabled) so I can prepare well in advance for replacing my GPU.

The previously mentioned SSD was still acting up even after Quick Teks replaced the PCIE port with one of their own. My brother purchased a new 2TB SSD that he got for his PS5, and after a quick swap... I'm overjoyed to say my performance issues and throttling have been completely resolved!

My computer went from throttling @83°C to 70°C under max load, and my system is so much quieter now. Feels like how my computer was when I first got it.
