☆ ♡I took my parents to 'Steve & Rocky's' for their Anniversary Dinner...which they picked! I can't say enough FANTASTIC things about our dinner from the moment we entered the door, until we left!! Arden was our server and she's been working for the owners for over 5 years and I can see why! ♡♡♡♡♡ SHE'S ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC AND CARES ABOUT EACH OF HER CUSTOMERS WITH SUCH PRIDE AND GRACE! 🥂We saw that in the 'Appetizers Portion' of their DAILY MENU, was a trio of soups for $5.75 which were: Shrimp & Lobster Bisque, Cream of Mushroom, (which is the original recipe from 'The Golden Mushroom', for those of you who remember when it was open) and Gazpacho Soups. Well, all three of us aren't fond of the last...so I asked if we could just have 2 of the 3 and Arden replied, "You can pick whichever 2 soups are your most favorite and the third can be your second favorite, that way you'll receive ALL THREE! In addition, my parents LOVE Crabcakes too! OH MY, BY FAR, THESE WERE THE ABSOLUTE BEST CRABCAKES I'VE EVER HAD!☆☆☆☆☆ Most Crabcakes are about half breadcrumbs and/or Panco crumbs; NOT THESE! These were filled with delicate and delicious fresh crab and VERY light and fluffy and absolutely delectable!♡♡♡♡♡ Finally, we all ordered something different. Mom had the Filet with fresh greens beans and light, fluffy mashed redskin potatoes. Dad had Beef Bolognese with a beef & shallot type gravy with carrots and green beans and these delicate slices of scalloped potatoes with grilled shallots and mushrooms, perfectly roasted. Finally, I chose the Smoked Wild Salmon with a light dill and caper sauce, beautifully thin fresh roasted asparagus and a light creamy scalloped potatoes with a touch of grilled shallots! ♡♡♡♡♡ OH MY, PERFECTION SEEMS LIKE AN UNDERSTATEMENT...EACH OF OUR SELECTIONS WERE SHEAR PERFECTION!!!!! The Manager came by at the middle of our meal and for our input - almost in unison, we replied "EVERYTHING IS SO PERFECT!" Long story short, my husband and I are moving back to Michigan, where we were both born and raised. We moved to Summerlin in the city of Las Vegas, ONLY BECAUSE the economy was so poor for my husband and we are searching for our new home, back where we belong...however, since we LOVE THE WARMTH, we will be buying a second home in Scottsdale, AZ, once we sell our place in LV, NV and get settled into our Michigan home! My Mom mentioned that to the Manager and I told him that 'Steve & Rocky's' could EASILY OPEN ANOTHER inside 'The D' in Downtown Las Vegas and compete with the other high end restaurants! ▪︎Side note: MANY, MANY PEOPLE who visit &/or live here don't understand, (or don't ask or do any research) that 'The D', which is a newer (almost 5 years) Hotel, Casino & Spa that is OWNED BY DETROITERS! Many think it's called 'The D', simply because it's in downtown ~ IT'S NOT! 🇺🇸 EACH & EVERY Restaurant and Eatery was started and has been a success in the Detroit Metro Area! Andiamo's Italian Restaurant, Kirby's Coney Island, White Castle, Little Caesar's Pizza, etc. all started and continue to flourish in Detroit and the surrounding suburbs in Michigan, along with the way that the rooms are decorated too! 🌰 Lastly, Arden came around with a tray of delicious looking Desserts and named each one, describing them in precise detail! Needless to say, my parents LOVE CHOCOLATE, so they decided to share what's called 'The Chocolate Bomb' - WOW! I'm probably the ONLY ONE IN MY FAMILY THAT ISN'T A "CHOC-CO-HOLIC", HOWEVER, IT TRULY WAS 'THE BOMB'...the inside was a light fluffy mixture of dark chocolate ganache and Bailey's Irish Liqueur , topped with a fresh raspberry sauce and a dark chocolate shavings! One bite was all I tried and it was so beautifully made and very light, yet simply divine! The Manager came back around just as Mom was finishing the dessert and he asked me, "So Las Vegas, how was each course and if I would return when we move back?" A RESOUNDING YES, WITHOUT QUESTION WHATSOEVER! It's a fabulous place to celebrate a special event, a romantic dinner, an unforgettable occasion or...
Read moreTHIS IS A YES! They take reservations too!! This was our first time dining here. It used to be a different establishment, however, we had not dined here prior. There is an amazing well suited beautiful bar area which offers a selection of house crafted cocktails , wines and beers with comfy looking seats you may want to just stay and dine in? The corner round booths are so fun and I would love to come here with a larger party and sit there. There is some really cool metal work throughout with a cool vibe and tables are dressed with white tablecloths. You can certainly come here dressed nicely casual. Staff is very approachable and eager to please. Need more water just ask. Staff members are good about assisting each other’s tables. Dining here is more like old school service. They do not rush you out of your seat and your wait is worth it as your food tastes made from scratch! Where do you find that anymore? The rolls are made in-house too and oh my it’s been a long time since I have had that hardy delish bread that has that slightly crunchy outside and that soft yummy interior that you slather with butter! They have a great selection to choose from starting with house made soups to a burger or a steak…..We had the Pork Belly Appetizer,Ribs with Fries ,Braised Short Ribs with Roasted Potatoes and Carrots and the Cheesecake. The Pork Belly is Appetizer sized for two and delicious( This was my meal choice:)). It was lean and served with an amazing Zucchini Chutney, all of which about melted in my mouth. The whole table enjoyed my offerings to taste! The 1/2 slab Ribs were a good portion size that appear a slightly not heavily smoked rib and are not that mushy boiled type texture. They are tender yet you slightly bite to get them off the bone. Almost that Smokers/BBQ champion type texture that should appeal to every taste, so juicy and meaty with an amazing house made BBQ Sauce. Ask for extra sauce or on the side it is that yummy! They were so good you would have thought they were freshly made to order start to finish. Not a heated up pre cooked experience. A good sized order of fries came along which were crunchy with just the perfect amount of salt!! Let’s talk Boneless Short Ribs: A very good size serving of 4 perfectly seasoned beef pieces that were so tender you could use your fork. The amount of awesome gravy was plenty for the dish. The roasted mini golden potatoes were tasty. The carrots yummy, perfectly pealed, shaped and served al dente. I do like mine on the over cooked side LOL. Per my son,”Mom, these are the best Short Ribs I have had out. They are like yours and I can never find them like you make them. I am overly pleased with my choice and the portion is generous too!”Well there ya go, does it get better than that?! I have to agree on the quality too. I enjoy them as well and now I can dine not having to prepare them myself! A rare find for sure:) They have a desert display to choose from. The cheese cake is a well prepared homemade cheese cake with a great graham cracker crust served with crumble on top. WE WILL BE BACK and perhaps venture into other selections or probably order the same dishes?LOL Prices have increased everywhere. For the quality of food, the prices and portions are priced spot on. Honestly, the Short Ribs were nicely priced for the quality and generous portion served. This is a casual elevated dining experience with an appropriate priced menu. We will enjoy a return adventure to try other items on the menu, finding even more house favs...

Ordered from here for my father's birthday (December 2020), and quite frankly, this experience has turned me away from them forever. Kept at two stars because dad thoroughly loved the food.
What was so horrible? At first, all seemed fine. When placing the order, the nice lady on the phone was pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable, patient ... all good things. Then came time to pick up the order. The first woman who came out was not the order taker, but was still stellar. She let me know that the credit card failed, and that the order was ready pending a new payment. Handed her the new card, and thought things would be smooth from here on out. Nope. Got a call about the order, and heard a man screaming obscenities in the background. At HER. For prepping my order. Then HE ended up being the one who brought the food out to the car. Without a mask. Acting all fakey nice.
NOPE. You do NOT get to yell at your staff and belittle them for giving excellent service, and think that you get to keep them customer. Between this and the experience in 2015, I'm done with this place.
2019 REVIEW Excellent food, fabulous staff, comfortable environment. You pay for what you’re getting, and it’s well worth it!
2015 REVIEW Pricey, excellent food but ... one of the visits left me a little sour on the whole thing. Was enjoying dinner, heard a blood curdling scream from the kitchen, suddenly the vents went on high, and the staff seemed shaken. The manager made a point to quietly tell everyone that things were fine, one table at a time. Every time the kitchen door opened, I could smell burning human flesh. Sure. It's all good ... I get that burns are a danger of the job, and happen way too often. Maybe this is the industry standard way to handle them. But it shook me...
