Stopped in to Kingsland Manor yesterday and really enjoyed my visit. I took a tour (free) through the entire home which was filled with some many beautiful pieces. The tour was conducted by more than one guide and they all had very detailed history about the home, the various families that lived there and all the items within the home. They answered all questions asked and really made the house come alive with their descriptions. A special shout out to Mateo (10yrs) who was one of the tour guides and did an excellent job. The manor also kindly offered a spread of sweet treats which were all very delicious. They offer tours on the third Sunday of the month and I definitely recommend stopping in to see it and meet the awesome tour guides. They have shirts, and sweaters for sale (maybe other things as well) and an option to be a donor for any that are able to. They also have events, weddings, etc. that you can check out on their website. Definitely stop by and visit this beautiful home.

Kingsland Manor, built in the 1760s, served for nearly two centuries as the residence of several prominent families, mostly that of Joseph Kingsland, a well known businessman, and his descendants. It is one of two pre 19th century structures still existent in Nutley. It is a marvel of construction, having survived the span of time. It is also, thanks to historical preservation, a wonderful window into the past as to what life was way back then, before the rush of build up that is today's time. Tours are given only on the third Sunday of each month, so plan your visit accordingly.

I have visited twice. Yesterday we did the holiday house tour. Each room had Xmas trees decorated in a different color. The docents had detailed information about the inhabitants and shared with us. I love the grounds featuring the two waterfalls. Overall Kingsland Manor is a fantastic place to visit and to support with your donations.

This is a hidden gem in New Jersey! The events are fantastic and I wish I could attend more. I went to the Bridgerton Afternoon tea and the docents did a fantastic job making the event both fun and educational. Highly recommend the visit and please donate if you can because our local history matters. When driving for the first time double check the GPS it may take you in the area but at a different street. A huge shoutout out to the two skilled fashion students who have been a wealth of style...
