Ko Olina Chapel Place of Joy — Attraction in Oʻahu

WEDDING COUPLES AND THEIR GUESTS HAVE ATTENDED WEDDING CEREMONIES AND RECEPTIONS AT THIS LOCATION OVER THE YEARS. Renewal of wedding vows have also been a feature of chapel participants.

Watabe Weddings couples and their guests come from around the world for their special ceremonies at Ko Olina. While the wedding parties primarily come across Japan, wedding participants come various locations from throughout the U.S. as well as from as far away as Brazil and Russia.

My selection of images recount the history of this chapel of it's many years of celebrations.

The first set of images are of the current chapel. Beginning with the stone sign with Ko Olina Chapel: Place of Joy inscription, are the images of the three main Watabe Wedding chapels at Ko Olina. They were 1) Ko Olina Chapel, 2) Honukai Chapel (no longer in operation) and 3) Aquaveil Chape (also no longer hosting weddings)l. These represented the popular Watabe Wedding sites.

My wife and I got married here and everything was an A+! Junko was our marriage coordinator and she was a big help with us traveling from Texas for the wedding. When we arrived, Christine and her assistant were our helpers for the rehearsal and the day of and they were truly amazing. They helped Chandler, my bride with everything and even the photos. We used their recommended photographer Visionary and he was A+ as well! He made it really feel like he cared to give us the best photos possible. If it helps, we got our marriage license with an appointment at the 4 seasons which is walking distance. Our officiant, Tracy Yamamoto was also amazing and made us feel so welcome! Everyone was absolutely amazing and wonderful. The ladies were extremely supportive and friendly. Elias was our officiant and he was just amazing, such friendly and warm vibes from him. We also had a harpist playing at our wedding who is very gifted, played such lovely music. I loved everyone that helped out and they definitely made it a wonderful time!! Such a beautiful and magnificent place with amazing people...
