This is our 2nd visit to the area. After driving from the airport, on busy highways, through a concrete jungle, and the arid side of the island, we arrived in the oasis of Ko Olina resort. This area is home to Disney, Four Seasons and other resort hotels, but we rented an AirB&B condo in the community. (Ko Olina Oasis on AirB&B, highly recommend this condo) We were able to walk to the beautiful lagoon beaches at the resorts ( Hawaii beaches are open to the public). The beaches weren’t crowded in October. There is a golf course here. Beautifully landscaped areas, sidewalks and paths for beautiful walks. Only a small shopping area with restaurants, in addition to the hotel restaurants. The town of Kapolei is a short drive and has all the amenities of any large town, but not the crowded atmosphere of Waikiki. Highly recommend this part of Oahu!

Contractors, beware! We provided extensive tree services for Ko Olina Kai Golf Estates in 2022, completing nearly $60K worth of work as agreed. Despite servicing this community for years without issue, we faced major challenges when the board president became involved.

Her expectations went far beyond what was contracted, and although we fulfilled our obligations, we repeatedly sent crews back—at our own expense—trying to meet her ever-changing demands over a period of 4–6 months. Instead of honoring the agreed-upon scope, she continued adding personal requests and additional tasks.

To this day, we have not been paid, now over three years later. If you're a contractor considering work here, proceed with extreme caution. Our experience has been nothing short of frustrating and unfair.

At first glance, Ko Olina Kai Golf Estates looks like a beautiful, well-kept community—but don’t be fooled. Behind the polished exterior, they have a serious issue with how they treat the hardworking people who help maintain their property.

The way they handle their contractors is nothing short of unfair. Instead of professionalism and respect, they impose unreasonable demands, disregard agreements, and show little regard for the time and effort put in by the very people who keep their community looking pristine. It speaks volumes about their values, and that kind of attitude has a way of seeping into everything—including how they treat residents and guests.

A truly great community isn’t just about appearances—it’s about integrity and respect for those who...
