Sea & Board Sports Hawaii — Attraction in Oʻahu

I purchased adventure ( glass bottom and snorkeling and sea turtles ) through chase and then got scammed by Viator. Viator claims they emailed me but I did not get and email. We met our tour guide at the beach, the tour guide got us set up and ready for kayaking. We went out around a cove and then back inland down a river, the tour guide pointed out seaturtles. Very cool to see. About 45 mins into the 2 hour tour, My wife asks the tour guide “when are we going out to sea” The guide replied oh “we might be able to but we should head back as it’s getting dark” the guide also mentioned at this time my boss tried emailing you to come early because it gets dark early so we should’ve booked you earlier” We did not receive an email from anyone mentioning this. The guide ended the tour at the end of 1 hour out of 2, We did not experience snorkeling. Supposedly they told us in the email that it was too much surf to snorkel , but did not mention this fact before they took my money.

I asked for a refund and the response I got from Viator is: We regret to hear about the circumstances surrounding your client's cancellation. Viator strives to make every attempt to address our customer's concerns. Unfortunately, the terms of this booking do not allow for cancellation at this time and we are regrettably unable to offer a refund since the local operator did the tour for 2 hours duration and inform the customer before the tour regarding the big waves and it wasn't safe to do the snorkeling. They did not give me an opportunity to cancel due to the fact it was going to be cut short or there was no snorkeling. What a Scam!! I paid $268 to get scammed. I purchased through Chase as I thought it was a reputable company and ChaseTravel did not protect...

OMG! What an incredibly fantastic first time paddle boarding experience. Thank you, STEVE, so very much for all your skill and experience and patience and dedication. You literally held my wife’s hand and gingerly and delicately and strategically gave her the courage and knowledge to launch another outdoor activity that I know she will want to experience again and again. Amazing how starting off with the right teacher can make all the difference in a person’s life for many years to come, in ways that are unfathomable. A starting point of building trust and tools that can be applied in any of everyday challenges. It’s her BIG birthday tomorrow and you gave her one of the BEST gifts of all - increased self-esteem and more faith and belief in herself and what she is capable of.

We had such a GREAT time and feel very honored and grateful for your love and attention. Keep up the great work of passing it forward and we’ll be back for some surfing lessons next time. I must also say that you included me in on all those lessons and I gracefully learned so much more by watching you teach my wife and three-quarters of the way through, she was actually giving me instruction and support. I cannot say enough how awesome of an experience we had with Steve. My husband and I were there on our honeymoon and even above flying in a helacoptor, this was our favorite thing we did! We stared the day with him picking us up in his awesome jeep. We then went kayaking and saw quite a bit of turtles, went paddle boarding. Steve then drove us to lunch at a local food truck stop where we had the best shrimp and steak! After that we went snorkeling, and let me tell you, this was our first time ever snorkeling and it was the best experience! The fish were right there as soon as you got in the water. We ended the day by him taking us back to our hotel and stopping at a few scenic sites along the way. Steve was the coolest guide ever and made us feel right at home. He never rushed any of the activities we did and was just an all around cool guy. BY FAR A MUST DO. WHEN we come back, we are definitely giving Steve a call for another awesome experience. My only regret is not doing it this first day we got to hawaii. We did so much that day that we didn't even know about, it opened our minds to thinga we could have done more while we were there. 11 out of 10 rating...
