I took my 5-year-old daughter for her first haircut and asked for a simple trim with light layers—not a blunt cut. The stylist started using clippers, which scared my daughter, especially when they got close to her face. She began crying out of fear. I asked if she could just use scissors, but the stylist refused, saying she’d cut her fingers because my daughter’s hair was “too slippery.” Even when my daughter politely asked for scissors, the stylist kept insisting it wasn’t possible.

She finally grabbed the scissors, made one uneven snip, and said, “OK, done.” What was supposed to be a minor trim ended up as a butchered cut. My daughter’s long, beautiful hair—down past her bottom—was left uneven and choppy. We didn’t want it cut short, but I had to fix it myself at home. I paid $30 for an upsetting, careless experience.

If someone is a licensed hairdresser, they should know how to work with all hair types, including children’s fine or slippery hair. This was my daughter’s first haircut, and instead of being a happy memory, it left her scared...

Supercuts always highly encourages to book online; what a waste of time that was for me. Went to two different Supercuts location for a particular hairstylist. She wasn't at the Waikele location but I was informed she was at the Pearl City Gateway location. Prior to scheduling online I called the second location to verify and was told over the phone the hairstylist would start shift at 12pm. After the phone call I went online and booked 12:20pm with the hairstylist I was looking for. Arrived at Supercuts Pearl City Gateway location 10 minutes early. Waited for my appointment only to be told the hairstylist was double booked and that her next availability...

Very good the manager was cool asf. Very respectful professional and fast at the same time. She wasn't talkative, but she wasn't to quiet at the same time which is good because conversations don't feel forced. I forgot her name, ill be sure to ask next time🫡✌️🤙 to summarize the experience it felt natural and she was very specific when it comes to the detail of what you want with yo hair. So if you guys gon get a haircut here don't be shy on how you want your hair done as she will accommodate you along the way...
