We took my 7 1/2 year old son, my almost 4 year old son, 6 year old niece, and 5 year old nephew and the kids and moms had such a blast!! The captain and crew are so wonderful and engaging!! Turns out it was a cooler, dreary and had slight sprinkles in the air and it was the perfect activity for that weather since it wasn’t quite beach weather and you didn’t really want to stay inside or go in and out of shops when damp. It couldn’t have been more perfect! We did buy the $10 sword, eye patch and bandana package for each kid and the kids loved it!! (Most of the kids on the ship also had this package so I am glad they didn’t feel left out) These three items were of good quality. I personally loved the bandanas! The kids got to pick from 3-4 colors and they were very nice designs!! The kids have put the sword through A LOT by hitting everything in sight and the swords have held up extremely and surprisingly well!! Although the Martha’s Vineyard staff did provide the kids with super cute pirate vests and sashes to borrow so they might not have technically needed the $10 package. The staff also provided each kid with their own pirate name which were really cute names and were lots of fun! The kids loved this pirate cruise so much and because of the weather and how conducive this ship is to cooler/dreary weather, two days later we tried out the Hyannis one. Moms were interested in comparing the two adventures too. The faces on the kids...
Read moreTerrible service. We made a genuine mistake on date of booking. Not trying to get away from that however this is run by a very gready franchisee more interested in making double their money than any real interest of the kids who unfortunately missed out due an error with the booking date. No help, no sincerity, just curt uncaring and abrupt No meaning we lost all of our money. Some understanding, flexibility and good will wouldn’t go amiss but hey they got paid (probably twice because the season is so busy so why care about how you can help the kids). Very disappointed and upset. Didn’t expect this but we live and learn. We asked for a Refund due to our error so that we could speknd the money for the children on something else but never had a response all day. We also even asked if we could move to a different venue (Hyannis) on same day as that’s where we could get to so kids could still go. Zero response to either of those requests by Captain Jeremiah which says a lot. The team at Hyannis turned us away very quickly even though they had space for more kids saying we should persist with email to Martha’s Vinyard team/Jeremiah. 1 team, 1 dream approach from these guys I see. Surely this would have been good for the franchise and the kids could still have gone and had the fun we...
Read moreI wish I could give a rating higher than five stars! What a phenomenal family fun experience. Worth every penny, and there is an opportunity to tip at the end. This crew was so amazing that I made sure to be generous. I’ll try to hit all the highlights, but from booking to docking, this experience was awesome! Booking was easy and communication was excellent leading up to our departure day. Parking wasn’t an issue. We chose to add on the kid pack. That includes a bandanna and a sword. They loved it! The captain and the three members of the crew were in character the entire time. They made it believable, but not scary. They made it exciting and inclusive. Before boarding little pirates get to go to the PIT (pirate in training) area for dress up, face painting, tattoos, etc. We loved that the kiddos all got to stay together- it really made them feel like a crew! Pirate songs, message in a bottle, pirate attack, water cannons and finding treasure - this experience has it all!!! Our boys are age 4 & 6. Almost the minute we got off the ship they asked if we could go back and do it all over again. The highest compliment they could give!!! If you have kids of any age, but definitely ages 12 and younger, this is a MUST DO when on...
