Lobsterville Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Oak Bluffs

Was very disappointed in my trip. As a service worker I expected way better, especially after what happened. Went on girls trip to the vineyard with my best friend to enjoy our day and hop around places, I wouldn’t recommend this one. To start, the manager/ owner approached me to tell me that my ID was fake. My REAL state ID. In response, I told the manager I could assure him my ID was real. In response, he said their scanners were VERY expensive. I told him to contact the police to have them check my ID because it was, in fact, real. We should have left at that point. After what seemed like forever, he came back and (granted) did apologize for the misunderstanding. I waited a while for my drink but finally got it. The server was nice though, got me a mocktail while I waited for them to verify my ID which was sweet of her.

Towards the end, my bestfriend had to use the rest room. While on her way, the same manager approached her and asked her for her number and to take her out!? Can’t make this up. Decided to leave STAT. Upon receiving the bill, nothing was comped?! For the whole ordeal, I was extremely surprised nothing was after the inconvenience we dealt with.

To add a cherry on top, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom the whole time we were there. WHOLE TIME!!! The bathroom, according to a log posted outside the bathroom, also hadn’t been inspected/cleaned since the 7th. It’s the 13th! Probably why there was no toilet paper?!?! And as we left, the manager hugged her???

Anyways, I expected a better experience and better work by upper management for the price of everything on...

We visited Lobsterville in Oak Bluffs and had a mixed experience.

We were greeted and seated right away, which was nice, and we appreciated being given the option to sit inside or outside. The outdoor view was beautiful, but the sun was intense, so we opted to sit inside. Unfortunately, the table they brought us to had just been cleaned and was still soaking wet. The plastic menus were sticking to the surface, and since there were no napkins provided, we couldn’t dry it ourselves.

It took about 15 minutes before our server came over to greet us. We started with waters, then ordered drinks. I got the Mango Passion frozen margarita (it wasn’t frozen). My aunt had the classic margarita on the rocks and said it tasted rancid, and my mom had a frozen classic that was overly sweet and tasted like it didn’t have much alcohol in it.

The food, however, was the highlight. We had the lobster roll, calamari, salmon, coleslaw, crab salad, and fries, everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The fries in particular were unique and super delicious.

One odd moment: there was a server walking around in what looked like very revealing shorts. Her booty cheeks were hanging out but don’t knock it, I’m not sure if that’s the dress code or just her style.

Overall, the food was good, but the service was slow, drinks were disappointing, and the experience didn’t fully live up to expectations, especially for the price tag. Would I go back? Maybe...

Was severely disappointed today.. 😞 The server had only us inside today and was too busy for us. Never asked me if I liked my food or if everything was ok (I didn't. The shrimp are TINY for bang bang shrimp and the grilled watermelon salad was flavorless), their floor fan was blowing on our food when the server accidentally moved it getting the phones they were charging at our table and the food cooled down way too quickly. We had to flag the guy bringing our food downstairs to us TWICE as he didn't know where the food belonged, she never brought my lemons for my water.. and the manager or owner saw that I didn't want to take my salad home with only three bites taken from it and didn't have the courtesy to ask if I liked it or not. My daughter couldn't eat her first grilled cheese due to them using hard sourdough bread that were hurting her loose teeth and she at least asked about HER food and had it re-made for her. It would have been nice if the whole table had been asked if they liked their food but, sadly, they gave all the attention to the people who weren't paying the bill and who BARELY even ordered anything to EAT...The only reason I gave the tip I did was because I didn't...
