I called one morning to see if I had to set up an appointment or if I could just walk in. The man who answered the phone was slightly rude when telling me to just walk in, but I ignored it. November 2nd at 10 am I walked in to the store. There was one other woman there, who was alone with her head in the washing station. Just me and her. I sat down to wait, thinking someone was in the back. A man comes in from outside. The same man I walked past on my way in who was having a conversation in front of the store. So unprofessional. If you are the only one working, stay in the store!! He asked me what I was there for. All I wanted was to trim 2 inches off of my hair (which is already over a foot long) and a face frame. He said he could do it and sat me down. He didn't wet my hair or anything, just straight up cut it, I have wavy hair so there is no way to know if you are cutting it even for sure. He was very rough with the comb and rushed through trimming it, and while he was rushing, I saw him hold up the "one second" finger to the man he was talking to outside. He began taking off my apron and saying thank you, when I reminded him of the face frame. He seemed confused on what a face frame even was, so thinking that he had just forgotten, I said "y'know, where you cut the hair away from the face sorta in a slope?" And he nodded as if he understood, didn't even put the apron back on me, and began cutting the area that you would for a face frame... but in the end, I had a straight line of hair about chin level across my face, that was about half the length of my other hair, with no blending at all. I got home, already annoyed with the fact that my bangs looked rediculous... and I straightened my hair. After straightening, I realized he missed some strands of hair while cutting, and that he had given me layers in the back of my already thick hair that I did NOT ask for. I question if he even had a stylist license, since he didn't even know what a face frame was. I payed 20 dollars for someone to...
Read moreGood day to anyone reading this. I highly recommend that you, your family, or friends do not go to this hair salon. The stylist himself has little to no knowledge on how to maintain and grow hair.
After going to this salon a mere few times, I’m without a doubt never giving this man any chances of touching my hair again. Not to mention but, the quality of the edifice interior itself is poor, and surely a lackadaisical person could only be capable of making it so effortlessly dull.
When doing my hair, he didn’t even add heat protection or any oil sheen when he was finished. When my head wasn’t in the ideal position, he would proceed to roughly grab it, shifting it with such unnecessary pressure. He communicates a lot through his apathetic gestures while he most certainly lacks a professional demeanor.
Save yourself while you can and do not ever waste your time or money coming here. Regardless if it’s an emergency, you shouldn’t go. He will never thoroughly fulfill your request and his impatience was evident. Even the most subtle actions made from him were outrageously irritating to endure.
In conclusion, as an female, and African American 14 year old entering High School, I am only inclined to make sure my hair is healthy and growing. That being said, I will never entrust him to styling my hair ever again. He humiliated me by saying the style in the picture I wanted had Long hair and my own was short. When clearly the style in the picture was only 2-3 inches longer than mine. He should be able to carry out the task despite that, when my hair was only a few inches shorter. Completely unenthusiastic man not capable of satisfying his clients.
If I had the ability to do it, I would give him...
Read moreIf I could rate a 0, I would. I emailed and called the week before to ask about pricing. They could not give me an exact price of their services and none of the services had prices online. The guy made me comb my own hair out. Charged me extra for a service that I did not request. I'm disappointed because this was my first experience. I called the next day to speak with someone about the up charge and they said it depends on your hair. A service should depend on the service NOT the customer's hair. They charge $45 for a wash and dry on Relaxed hair but my hair is natural and curly, so he upcharged me an extra $40 and charged me for a deep conditioner I did not receive. I'm sorry but do not go to this salon. I could've done my hair myself. By the way if you know hair, you know that it's best to comb/brush from end to root. When he blow dried and straightened my hair, he brushed from root to end. I even had to tell him to use a different note wide tooth comb because he was planning to use a rat tail comb on my curly hair. It was unfair pricing and I don't...
