Fantastic experience! The volunteers are so knowledgeable about the history of the vessel. I would 100% recommend this to anyone. I took my dad on the Father’s Day cruise tour. He’s been wanting to tour the Potomac for several years but never got around to it. He said the cruise/tour exceeded his expectations, and he had high expectations. We boarded the boat and took ourselves on a self guided tour first. Then we asked one of the volunteers for a tour. Chris was fantastic! He answered all our questions. He and my dad also served in the Navy and Marine’s, respectively, so they connected about those experiences. My dad says he wants to bring future house guests to the tour.

My husband and I took the Fourth of July cruise and it was amazing. It was impeccably run by kind and knowledgeable people. We saw multiple firework shows and enjoyed every minute of our trip. Also, as a teacher, it was great to be able to contribute to a nonprofit that dedicates itself to educating children about FDR, the Great Depression, and WW11. The employees were so dedicated to the furthering of education that when I mentioned I was a history teacher they gave me teaching materials to further the message of FDR and his important place in history. I cannot recommend the USS Potomac cruises enough. It is worth every penny!!

Wonderful! I highly recommend this over other bay cruises. Not only do you get a cruise of our beautiful bay, but you also get immersed in the history of the bay, in local WWII history and interesting tibits from Roosevelt's life and presidency. I think this is especially good for out of town guests...so much packed into one outing! Also, a big shout out to the many volunteers who run and staff this organization. Kind, professional and organized. Thanks for a great day folks! PS we also saw a mama & baby whale right under the golden gate bridge! BONUS
