We planned an engagement party for 5/17/20 due to Covid-19 it was postponed... we tried to reschedule for 8/22/20 again Covid-19 prevented that from happening... we decided to have the wedding and not the engagement party and were told due to the fact the the Capt. had not been cruising because of the virus we were not going to receive a refund. We saved this money for our special day and this company has prevented us from moving forward. We want to change venues and just have a wedding but are unable to schedule because this company is refusing to provide us with a refund even though the services were not rendered. We've lost people, have elderly family members that we want to be able to celebrate with us while they're here but this company continues to stall and ask us to be patient... What did they do with our money???? I was told by one person over the phone once when someone answered is that " we have a list of people to refund and if you want one you'll be added to the list and that they may have to make payments to people who need refunds.... PAYMENTS...we paid cash up front. Now I'm being told No money will be refunded. As a soon to be bride during this time when tomorrow is not promised, I've been totally torn to pieces. I don't want to lose anyone else that was suppose to be celebrating with us because this company continues to refuse our refund. Heartless I tell you, $ 7,850.00 and we're suppose to walk away. We're is this company's reserve? why was our money use to keep the company afloat... not to mention, we never canceled they did due to governmental mandates. I get it Covid-19 was unexpected, I work in the healthcare industry and am fully aware of this virus but, I don't get how this company can tell us they are not returning any of our funds provided to them for a service that was...
Read moreWe went for the valentine cruise paid 266 for me and my husband. The confirmation email just said pier 40 so we get there all the people that purchased tickets are feeling lost not knowing what side of pier 40 this boat will arrive at plus everyone is asking each other the same question if we knew they tryed calling the number to contact them they got clicked on! There was no signs for us to know were to wait exactly. In the confirmation email clearly in bold red says boarding at 6:30 I got there at 6:10 was not able to board till 7:00pm after a long walk around the pier trying to figure out if we missed a sign. We didn't depart until 7:20 I was not the only guest saying this. Decoration wise was not the best very dark only 1 waitress ??? All this money this people and myself paid and 1 waitress serving water and champagne. It took a while until it was our turn. Food was good ! The view was great but I can pay less then 266 for a view. Very boring enevirment. Me and other guest where using our phones to play music no entertainment . I felt like I just through money in the trash! Last year in my birthday I used horn blower cruises I loves it had signs to make sure we did not get lost ! Had music we could dance to more then 1 waitress and very fun experience but wanted to give this place a try never again! Fake advertisement not worth 133 per person. To top it of I invited 5 people I felt embarrassed with...
Read moreI debated whether or not to write a review since overall we had a nice reception and I didn’t want to focus on the negative things that went wrong. But since Commodore is posting pics of my daughter’s event from our photographer we had to push hard to even be able to use, I figured I needed to at least share a brief review.
The GOOD: The food is really good. Being on a boat in the Bay is an incredible venue (which I would love to do again for my other daughter, but am feeling a little hesitant now.) We were happy with their florist.
The BAD: Don’t know how top layer of cake ended up bright pink - was supposed to be pearlescent white! Switched DJ’s on us a couple days before the event – didn’t go so well. Their scheduled timeline was totally off due to some issues - ended up having to rush cake cutting and first dance as we were in the channel coming back to the dock. Yelled at by woman who came storming out of her back office saying we weren’t allowed to have a drone at Treasure Island (in a public space) that would film the boat from a distance as we sailed by – that it could only be their vendor, even though he wasn’t available and was the one who suggested it.
I could go into much more detail, but don’t feel like it’s worth drudging up negative feelings since I don’t think Commodore really cares and found it odd they didn’t follow-up with us after the event to see how...
