New to town and needed to find a good shop for my practice. Good selection but be careful as some crystals in the inventory are definitely lab treated, not sure where they get their supplies from, but if you know crystals, you know what to look for and what names to stay away from cause they're usually not natural. The staff wasn't super professional but not rude. There was one employee in there working while 2 ladies were giggling and running in and out. I got the vibe that they think they're really cool and don't need to try very hard, meanwhile the one working employee did seem annoyed he was left alone. I picked out some crystals to test, a bracelet of tiger's eye, and asked for 2 ounces of one of the fresh herbs available. The guy helping me not only spilled some on the counter after charging me for the weight before he spilled it but he also asked me if I wanted to wear the bracelet I was purchasing out of the store. This was very odd to me as people well versed in the practice of magik know not to wear anything before cleansing it. I wouldn't hire somebody who doesn't know what they're talking about through and through or have them by themselves on the floor without extensive training when dealing with such sensitive materials. As a 3rd generational witch, If you know what to look for, this shop isn't bad, but definitely wouldn't recommend it for beginners who could be swayed too easily because they're not well versed and they're just taking all this shop's...
Read moreLovely little space that I've visited twice now on my random travels through the bay. The main person that has been at the counter the 2 times I have gone in is wonderfully kind, super engaging, and very genuine. They even took time to write down locations for me to check out both for other metaphysical shops, and also for vegan food recommendations. I love their collection of incense (especially the Madre Sagradra line), and even though a good amount of it is pretty costly, I prefer to support local business instead of buying through the supplier's website. This shop offers a small amount of clothing, crystals & stones, jewelry, books, Tarot cards (and readings), herbs and more. I will make it a point to visit, support, and restock my incense collection whenever I'm in town.
I do have one complaint, and that is regarding the sweetgrass I purchased here. It is not regular sweetgrass - it is very hard, not grassy at all, and doesn't produce the best (or much of any) scent. Not sure where their sweetgrass is sourced from, but I highly recommend a...
Read moreStore is beautiful but my experience was not. I was gifted a deck and I ended up not feeling connected to it because itâs a more westernized/ European deck. Being a women of color I just didnât feel the connection. I asked if an exchange is possible and the two ladies working said no, following with that returns are difficult because it affects working with the artist behind the deck, with all due respect half the decks in the store are not from local artists. Theyâre decks that have been around for years and sold all over the internet for half the price. Supporting local is how I like to spend my money but this left a bad taste in my month. One of the ladies said â maybe you can gift it to someone who resonates with the deckâ in a rude pretentious tone. My sister and I have spent a lot of money here and itâs disappointing to be treated of unimportance. Wonât...
