I would rate a negative five stars of possible. My Momma and I went on my birthday to see "I Heard the Bells" ... She had purchased the tickets over a month in advance. She drove over 3 hours to get to me and we drive another hour to get to the "Epic" theater. We arrived 30 minutes before the show and found an angry line of people who had also purchased tickets online for the 4:00 showing of the movie. We all had assigned seats on our tickets. Only ... According to the young man taking (scanning) tickets, the movie had been removed from theatre 5 and all our tickets purged from their system. "Violent Christmas" was playing in that theater. We were sent to get in line for a refund. When we got to the front of that line, we were told we could come back tomorrow and maybe there would be seats. They were showing the movie in theatre 3, but those tickets were already sold out to walk in guests for today. We (obviously) would not be able to return with the distance we had traveled and they could not guarantee there would be available seats even if we did. We asked to speak to a manager, but no managers were working at that time to hear our complaint. We asked for the number to corporate, but were instead given a receipt on which a lady wrote a means first name only and a phone number. She said it's the manager, but she didn't know his last name. The staff all said it's the daily of Corporate and they have no ability to adopt l assist us nor can they give us a number to contact "Corporate". We actually found another theatre (Regal Hollywood) and made it there just as the credits were ending. These people didn't even bother offering another theatre in the area. We thought, perhaps they didn't know ... So after our movie, we returned to let the box office staff know that this other theatre less than 10 minutes away does in fact have available seats - for when this same issue arises tomorrow (as the film was only being shown two days at 4:00 each day). The girl made a smidge comment about how Regal Hollywood won't be around much longer and didn't even pretend to make a note that might have erased the way for more good will on the morrow. Perhaps she never saw "Miracle on 34th Street" ... So she doesn't understand how referring a guest to your competitor when you can't meet their needs, is actually a smart business decision. Or maybe she was tired of dealing with disappointed guests and just didn't care if they could be assisted. Whichever it is, the management can't be bothered to be present when there's an issue (one staffer said this head been happening repeatedly since October) and although they are telling start to blame the Corporate office, they aren't willing to give out the phone number to Corporate so guests can complain in a civilized manner. I HIGHLY recommend ANY OTHER THEATRE as this one is an...
Read moreSeptember 2024 Update* It is still the best theatre in town in all regards when you take into account the amazing reclining adjustable seats, cleanliness, food and drink selections, staff friendliness, and even ticket prices. I wanted to personally compare the XL screen experience at Epic Theatre to Regals IMAX experience with viewing the same movie at both. Overall, I enjoyed the movie far more in the XL screen at Epic. Some deciding factors include that the IMAX's seating in comparison is crowded and smells weird, plus the tickets are more expensive. There wasn't a big enough difference in movie viewing quality and audio for it to be a deciding factor for me. They both were about even in my opinion (I know they're not, but I couldn't really tell). The concessions are comparable in pricing and offerings. Epic seems to have more staff, even with having self checkouts... I thought was odd đ¤ˇđźââď¸ Both had more than adequate air-conditioning. A person might want to bring a jacket and / or a blanket to keep warm..
fair warning The reclining seats at Epic are super comfortable, so you might fall asleep and miss the movie you just paid to see**
Original Review* Went to see Tenet here a few months ago. The way to buy tickets is kinda weird. It's self-service machines that are both inside the lobby and outside the main doors. I'm not sure I like that, but it's not a big deal. It looks like it will be able to handle large crowds in the future. However, with people staying home, most of the concessions are not fully open. Got popcorn, nachos, and a drink, but when I went, there was only one person behind the counter, so it did take some time to get the order. They do serve alcohol. Staff was pleasant. If you're expecting a crowd, probably get there fairly early in case they are not fully staffed. The XL screen is huge! It was awesome! The reclining adjustable seats with footrests are amazing! It is pricier than the other theatres in town. But if you don't mind a little splurge for comfort, you should try this place at least once! Nice bathrooms too. Also it...
Read moreTerrible!!! Let me start with saying we have been to this theater twice. Our first time was amazing other than food prices. We spent 80 dollars just on a popcorn, 4 candies, and 4 drinks, but staff was outstanding and the manager even sent my kids home with some posters, great guy. Then on the way out, we noticed collector's bucket for popcorn so we ask if they were gonna have them for the new spiderman and we got told absolutely so we said we will come back when spiderman came out and get the kids a bucket with the figures on top. Long story short, we went this afternoon 1/5/2022. They had buckets lined up near the popcorn machine; my kids seen them with spiderman figures on top, got excited. As soon as I grabbed one to purchase, the concession stand lady says those are for display only so I said you have multiple but we cannot purchase one even if it's empty. She said no they are display items only so then I said do you have the family buckets of popcorn that we got the last time. She says "all the buckets we have are right there," which was none other than 4 bags of stale popcorn and the machine was empty, so then I realized she didn't let me purchase a collector's bucket because she didn't want to do her job and make some popcorn. She had a smug attitude. Regardless, I said thank you and she said "yep" so then we proceeded to the next young lady to ring our items up and we asked her if they had anymore buckets in the back for sale. She says those spiderman buckets are for sale. I told her the other woman said display only and then she said no I'm pretty sure there for sale and she radios the lady to ask. Her response is nope, so I said whatever we are fine. In the end, we will not return due to her poor attitude. Maybe if the young man with red hair and red goatee ran the place it would be alot better cause he was the one that served us on our first time there and he was outstanding. He overdid his job and made us...
